only take i disagree with heavily is the cross-out hit, it's only good BECAUSE we are in a tier zero/hand trap heavy meta. It is mid/bad in any other circumstance. Card is fine and the reason for it being good needs to be addressed not hitting the card itself

This is actually very close to what i thought myself. A few additions/changes are: 1. Yama being banned. Limiting phantom isn't enough to drop yubels powerlevel down to what snake-eye/tenpai's will be after the list, making it the best deck by far and possibly entering another tier 0 format (or close to) with yubel fiendsmith as the main culprit. 2. Banning OSS. Oss being 7 easy spots for any deck that has a lv1 fire starter is absurd especially after taking into account that they are all extenders too with bonus effect like wanted (even if you limit wanted the same problem is still there just less apparent). You could even leave poplar untouched by banning OSS. Sure the ash combo is still the same and its broken, but thats not really what makes SE that powerful. Its the fact that its hyper consistent with a lot of different ways to extend (wanted engine) if you get stopped and a lot of different plays when going second.

Yeah. It unfortunately still doesnt fix the problem of yubel becoming the undisputed best deck even after the gates and phantom hit. I would go as far as to say that een if you limit 2 cards (like a throne or something) the deck will still perform better than anything else, and thats a problem.
