The ban is stupid but I understand because everyone would just do it and be like I didn't mean too. I think it's a rough area but I don't think Joel should be ban for it.

Technically yes for the sake of staying consistent. Hundreds of other people have been banned for the same reason. Wouldn't be fair to give him leeway, just because he's a public figure. PSNP's rules are stuck in the ps3 era though and do need to be updated. Will never happen though, Sly doesn't care and most of his team have a Napoleon Complex as a result of their sad lives.

Quality podcast as always Lewis. Not even lying this is my number 1 favorite podcast right now, in addition to delving into topics about my favorite past time (trophy hunting), I find your quips with the co-hosts and guests incredibly funny, the rapid-fire questions you throw (which you didn't do in this ep sadly) are also entertaining since it makes you know more about the guests taste outside of trophy hunting. This quiz time you added is now my favorite section in the podcast and it's great you save it for last as it's the best part. Honestly never a dull moment, the ONLY podcast I watch 100% of the way through and don't just click on timestamps to topics I care about. I wish you did this podcast weekly or fortnightly.

30:50 Unfortunately, as much as we all like to use them as a basis, all the estimated times and difficulties on trophy guides are...well, estimations. They are entirely subjective and the reasonings for them are arbitrary at best. One game I've done that always comes to mind for this topic is a PS3 RPG called "Record of Agarest War". On PSNP, it's listed with a 3/10 difficulty...but on PlaystationTrophies and XBoxAcheivements, it's listed with an 8/10 difficulty on those. Now, I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty sure there's a massive difference between a 3/10 and an 8/10. If you look at the comments on the PSNP one, this is actually brought up and the guide writer's reasoning is that, and I quote: "My opinion is that once you get the hang of the battle system, this game isn't all that hard. Parts of it are." To me, that's like saying "Vanquish" isn't a 9/10 cause only the final Tactical Mission is ridiculously hard, the rest of the game isn't too difficult. Personally, I don't know if an 8/10 is quite right for the game but it sure as heck isn't a 3/10. Especially when you acknowledge there are hard parts and have to specify specific tactics or strategies to get around them.

Honestly PSNP was the biggest reason why I quit trophy hunting, i wish they minimised the standards let alone contradict their rules on how you can be banned or not. I just couldn't be bothered with the palaver anymore. The completion rates, the ultra rare trophies, the platinum rarities, the sequences in order, the "you can't call yourself a trophy hunter if you haven't played this" games. It was manic, best of luck to Joel though.. I'm glad he's still making content as usual and not letting a third party affect his platinum journey.

I relate with GuyFarruski's flag story, I got flagged on Call of duty for a modder coming in popping every single base game trophy for everyone in the lobby back before i even trophy hunting and it was my first platnium, And naturally i didn't have the setting to not sync when checking my trophy list so when i started trophy hunting into like late 2019 early 2020 i made an account and already had a flag and was never on the leaderboards

a few days ago i hid a game on my trophy list for the first time in my life/trophy hunting career as i had earned an "illegal" trophy (the DIY mask trophy in ARMY OF TWO: 40TH DAY)...i was too scared to get flagged, so i preferred to hide the entire game from my list (even though it cost me some shiny ultra rares lol PS: you guys should start a petition for getting Joel unbanned again ;) LOVE your potcast

One thing that annoys me about pstrophies difficulty system is that the community voting on how difficult something is means the audience of a game is very relevant. I think minecraft had an absurdly high rating for a while and some super difficult games that only hardcore players play are way underrated. Not saying psnp is perfect but in general I think their guides are more accurate difficulty wise

Hey Lewis (and Joel, Steve, and Matt), Absolutely loved the podcast as always, although I'm not gonna lie I died a bit inside when Matt said "I prefer to do all my gaming on console" aha.
