I used to make bannock since I was a teenager at home. When I went hiking, I used to prepare pouches (before ziplock bags) with flour, salt and baking soda in the right portions and closed the plastic bags with rubberbands. Each pouch was for one bannock and fit perfectly into my backpack. At camp, you just add water, you knead the dough in the bag and simply poured it out into the frying pan. I didn't have a lid, so I simply turned the bannock half way with the fork. Little bit less complicated with more control... still one of my favorite foods, approaching 50 next year. At home... add some sunny side eggs on top of it... delicious! :)

What are your ingredients ratios? Would like to make some.
@Benny1581
@Benny1581 3 жыл бұрын
@@twinphill900 3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of baking powder. I favour it with blueberries freshly picked and cooked on a fire. But to each their own. Mine often seems to collect a mosquito or two in preparing it, just more protein.

South of the Canadian border I've heard it called lugalade or lug. It sure hits the spot on a cold morning in the woods.

Excellent information in the Kochanski videos: unfortunately Audio is MORE than 50% of a video. Your audio tracks are single channel so my left(or right) earbud is happy. the other not so much; It makes it more difficult to enjoy these...
