We're upping the ooey gooey goodness with a banana and toffee mega cake this week!
This delicious cake started off with 6lbs of my Ultimate Banana Cake, with two layers baked up in a crunchy graham cracker crust! They're stacked together with my Italian meringue buttercream, caramelized bananas, dulce de leche and toffee candies... it's covered in a banana and plantain chip coating, I don't monkey around! Me too! I actually came down to comment that exact same thing. I prefer this format over the one where she sits on a chair and narrates. Having said that, I like that she does both ‘cause I’m sure there are people who prefer the chair narration; so she gives everyone what they want.

I figured the chair narration cut down on editing time. If they're comfortable showing mistakes, this format would be a nice blend between quick editing + Yo's fun personality while she's baking.

The caramelizad condense milk is called Dulce de Leche 😍😍😍😍 I love it. We use it a lot in Latino countries. And omg u using two of my favorite things: Plantain and Dulce de Leche 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I loved this channel so much that I had my youngest sister who attended LéCole Culinary school before it had shut down after she started her graduate classes. To make me an strawberry lemonade cake for my birthday that was on this past Sunday. And it was super delicious and was beautifully decorated with two tone flowers.

Yolanda is the only baker that I know that makes the bests cakes‼️ hands down. She doesn’t just make it about the outside decor of the cake but she also makes it all about the flavor of the inside of the cake. Some bakers just don’t care about what goes inside the cake and just pay attention to the outside decor of the cake, leaving the cake all dry and simple. That condensed milk thingy is like Manjar/dulce de leche. My grandma makes it sometimes but it takes so looong asdggdffghjk

You can make it super easy by placing a can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot of boiling water for 2 hours. Be careful to always have the can covered entirely by water (I just put the lid on, no problem) and let cool completely before opening. I do it while I'm busy at home and can check every half hour. 😊

Ooor you can maybe find it where russian/eastern european food is sold. In Russia it's called Varonoye Sgushenoye Moloko (варёное сгущенное молоко). But be careful, they usually have the cooked (this) and non-cooked (just sweetened condensed milk) version next to each other, so be careful to pick the one that says варёное / varonoye, or has a brown-ish tin. :)
