Banshee Vs. Raptor - side by side POV

They said upon Banshee's opening that it's an invert about every 7 seconds. The ride is so smooth and consistent in that pattern that it creates a wonderful, rhythmic cadence to the entire ride.

Banshee may be a tad bit better but hell it should be its 20 years younger thats why I hate the comparison but to be almost 30 years old, Raptor is still a great ride in my opinion

Wow! I’m surprised that banshee finished earlier but I’d still say banshee has a better layout and hang time

I have a cp platinum pass and recently went to kings island. Raptor is my #3 favorite ride at cedar point. But....I do think banshee is much better all around

Raptor definitely takes this. All that Banshee would have to do to retake this from Raptor (and then be streets ahead of it, in my opinion), is to get rid of those comfortable, but airtime / freedom killing vest restraints, which are SO not needed..

Do you not think the vest restraints ruin many Dive coasters? Imagine Valravyn or Yukon Striker... without them. I'd love to design coasters, possibly one with sensors that could see where the legs were, and gave you the option of pressing a button (a bit like Fury at Bobbejaanland in Belgium) where you could opt for crazy airtime or not. On Oblivion at Alton Towers in the UK, I once stuffed my wallet in my pocket at the wrong angle on purpose, on the side that I'd be checked.. was worried they'd realise but they didn't. I went up that lift with SO much gap - and on the drop, I was about an inch off the seat, not one with the roller coaster, for the entire drop. It was the most insane floater ever on a drop - and only something you can get if you ride something bigger.. or if you decide to be a bit cheeky..
