Wonderful. I have made one tutorial comparing Bansuri and carnatic flute and in that video I have also explained, about fixing any note as S. I am giving that link below watch it a few times. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGraXpyLgrGUa9k You buy one low pitched flute as well, flutists usually have many flutes.Some songs are easily played in some particular pitches. Now you buy one or two low pitched flutes like 3 and 2.5.

Yes mam, I watched that video and when I tried it with my F scale flute it was very nice. The problem is Im a begginnner and I memorized the swara sthana as you taught and played it from 'pa'. How can i improvize? It seems very interesting actually, but also very hard mam
@koolfreekin3 жыл бұрын
I mean fingering for 'pa' thinking as 'sa' and wondering how to play sarali varisais. Do you suggest I go for a lower pitch flute to start?
@learnflute-bhoomaparthasarathi3 жыл бұрын
That is really very very hard to do. Your mind has to get over that notes places and it should be able follow only the sound. It will take a very long time.But interestingly some learners master everything in a very short time. Let us wait and see. And do not stop practicing the learned S = 2 holes method. If you stop that, it will lead to unnecessary delay.
@koolfreekin3 жыл бұрын
@@learnflute-bhoomaparthasarathi Sure mam. But I'm not sure if I would do it without lessons directly from a guru mam(i searched if you give online lessons directly). I just want to get the right flute as a tool to learn carnatic ragad and their music compositions. So to simplify, shall i go for 2.5 or 3 kattai? If you fix S as three holes, the position of other notes will be changed according to that. . Pitch 4 that is 4 kattai ( we call it kattai ) flute is beginners flute.Pitch 4 is called Scale F. The reason is it is in the ideal length and size. The holes will be near by and you can play with ease. Mam, as a beginner which type of flute can i buy for easy learing kindly suggest me, carnatic or hindustani?
@learnflute-bhoomaparthasarathi3 жыл бұрын
See if you are learning from my tutorials, buy a carnatic flute of Pitch 4 and start. Pitch 4 is beginners flute. The length of the flute and holes distance in between are manageable for a beginner. Then after some time you can switch to a 3 pitch and 2.5 . But if you are learning from a Hindustani flute tutorial also, if possible learn the both ways. When I learnt flute I do not know that there is Hindustani flute and it has 6 holes. I was living in a very very small town. I was lucky enough to get a very good teacher.Other wise no exposure.Nowadays we have KZbin for our help. But if you start to learn both the ways carnatic as well as Hindustani, it may be confusing, for some people. Some learners master both ways. Flutes are not very expensive. So buy both types and try to learn and play and then decide which to follow. I have made a detailed video on the title, Bansuri v/s carnatic flute, I am giving the link below. Please watch it a few times. It may also help you to decide. But please do not decide now. Give yourself time. We do not know now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGraXpyLgrGUa9k
