I like your list and the 4 veil main. I have an older list where I ran approach but decided to take it out and just go for the attack and take extra turns strategy. I also would run 4 Nexus but yeah they can really be bad early and usually you can find a single one between Brainstorms Dig and planar genesis. Have you been the veil main?

@griffinMTG i put the veils in the main a week ago i think i found that i was sick of getting my key cards Thoughtseized and countered and after i put the veils in i found they were better to have g1 with all the scam and cheap counters running around

If you have'nt I highly recommend checking Altheriax's build, I like it more personally. For exemple I think it's advisable to run 4 counterspells in the deck, and also memory deluge is always awesome for the combo finish etc, generally rec I think pairs up best with a simple combination of card advantage and counterspells(alth runs swords and fragment reality=>), you wanna avoid 2 for 1s and unfavorable trades overall. I have not experienced on the ladder with any list tho so my opinion is in no way shape or forme more valuable than someone else's

@@heraldofv3379 I went back and forth between deluge and dig but ultimately felt like dig was better, but I can see deluge better in some spots. Run 4 counterspells as well as 4 mana drain?

​@@griffinMTG makes a lot of sense, I also feel like I would end up running dig . Then it's sort of a perspective of the deck that leads to playing it in the way Alth does for exemple, looking up some older version back when the no ban list event was ongoing, we'd play 4 mana drain and 4 archmage's charm, so here the idea is to similarly run 8 counterspells but obviously mana drain is better than archmage's charm by a mile. The thing that separates this type of build from the usual tho is that we don't run Uro or either Oko/One ring or any long term card advantage engine, notably because we play kaheera as companion.

You could get some value out of it but I don't think it would matter when you are comboing off with nexus and reclamation

Use Spell Snare. It geht's Mana Drain and Counterspell too
