@@Tevari7 Suzu is way better but Bap has a better kit than Kiriko for Solo play. If your team doesn't/can't utilize your Ult, it basically does nothing and against heavily armored targets and shields Kiriko does air. When there is an aggressive Rein (or the like) running it down on you you BETTER have a team shooting him at all times, or he will run all over you free. Bap can keep him in check, bait him then jump to high ground, and outright kill him with Window. In and against Rush, Bap just feels good, where there ARE gaps in Kiriko's kit. She's great at running away, but like Mercy, it can depend on your teammates positioning. If everyone is clumped up, it doesn't help you at all. Lamp is also better against 1 shots, and snipers. You can actually keep peeking for the duration and maybe make something happen instead of guessing when they shoot? and running away. In general Lamp is a better Dueling CD, and regenerative burst is a great addition to have.

Bap/Kiriko is my fav supp duo. Two saves, one with a cleanse. I feel like Bap makes up for the gaps in Kirikos kit as well. Also a window in the middle of a Kitsune wrecks. And both are capable of getting decent positioning with wall climb and jump boots. I will always try to make a Bap work with a Kiriko if you can.

@@weezergiantfly 2 saves isn't very good imo, many times in the past i saw lucio and zen ult at the same time, it's the same with suzu and lamp i guess. 2 good abilities might be wasted CD on a single save. personally i haven't tried it out but i don't see many kiriko and bap combination

@@GingerHoax Shoot shoot heal, my man, shoot shoot heal. You’ll usually end up with almost dead even damage and healing depending on if you use windows defensively or offensively.

@@GingerHoax You need to remember two things. Bap isn't slowed down by healing or shooting so you can do both. And the combo is always shoot shoot heal remember that shoot shoot heal is usually your best bet if you're confident enough that you can just flick your mouse in time unto your teammates and back to your enemies.

Bap is a fun character to play with but most people need to realise you need high sense to cycle between heals and damage, being able to lamp behind corners where it won't get shot down easily and getting used to the boosted jumps enough where you can just go by feels. I do struggle to do much damage as bap but just need to work on my aim. Also a hard decision between windowing yourself or your team can make or break a play.

Same thing, but I started at lower ranks. I went from Gold 5 to Diamond 5 as a Bap with 67% win rate in about 40 wins. I was amazed by how much you can influence a game as a Support. Unfortunately, after reaching Diamond 5, I went through 8 loss/5 win and ended up back to plat. But considering I barely play this role, I'm still surprised

Baptiste is severely underrated even amongst Support players, and is generally undervalued in whatever team he's in. You can save your team from certain death moments over and over again, but if you aren't Mercy pocketing them or Ana nano-ing them, people just don't appreciate Baptiste.

i never got games like these, when i was maining bap in gold last season, it was always either roll the enemy team by standing on payload or get rolled. When the matchmaking decided it was a losing time for me, i just got games where i would be constantly trying to outplay enemy dps by dueling them or hide, which neither really worked...

I'm currently a freshman at Wayne State University (MI) And for my intermediate English paper I'm writing about discourse communities. Overwatch is the one I chose! I'd like to ask some questions, if you'd be willing to answer. Or even pass them along to another coach who might. It would be a big help!! Here are my questions 1) Did the nature of playing support change when the second tank was taken out of overwatch two? 2) On a team, who would you say is the general playmaker. Tank? Dps? Support? And why? 3)If you noticed any meta shifts, to compensate for the new strain on supports without that second tank, could you explain them? Thank you again, if you get this!

these feel like pretty safe answers to use imo, if you can't ever get answers from ML7 or a coach: 1) yes, it became harder to survive as support without a 2nd tank to help guard the backline 2) all three can be playmakers, but probably tank as the #1 since they have more resources to work with (HP and CC on average), then DPS, then support (support is usually more reactive, or just something like kiriko rush or ana nano that the tank or DPS then make a play with) 3) the meta for support initially shifted toward supports that can survive easier without 2nd tank peel/backline help (kiriko, mobility mercy, etc.) definitely seems like things are smoothing out lately as supports get balance updates.

sometimes the map geometry eats baps's heals, like the stairs on junkertown point B right next to the payload doors from A to B. i've also heard from others lamp gets eaten or yeeted across the map because of the geometry, but i haven't seen it myself
