In case it's not obvious to non-curlers : Sweeping wouldn't make a difference for these stones that slide over dry surfaces with ball bearings. Sweeping works on ice because it slightly heats the ice, letting the stone melt it more easily. And removes any frost. Source: I'm a curler and a physicist, and I've played with a smaller toy curling set with a teflon mat and small rocks.

This is really different from actual curling scoring. In real curling, only one team receives points per round, only the stones closer to the center of the bullseye (which is called the button) than the opponent's stones count, and all stones are only worth one point.

I have a test to determine if something is a sport or not that requires any two of the following (otherwise, it's a game, not a sport according to this test): Strength, Athletic Coordination or Endurance. Curling hits on the coordination... :D
