Bru. I agree. To me it is more exciting to se 3 or 4 lifters feeding off each other, positions changing till the very last lift instead of watching Lasha crush everyone. Look I can acknowledge him as the GOAT and appreciate his record but a comp like this is what I enjoy most.

Watched Lasha's 270kg in training looks a lot harder than what Alireza does to these weights, if Alireza do not injure himself he will be the holder of heaviest C&J ever soon. Nonsense speed on 262kg without a single struggle, i would say that in his best shape he would do 275kg or more to struggle like Lasha's 270s lift. Exciting times to come! Huge talant!

@dr.armanassadi5736 shoulder* but yes. That's exactly what I'm afraid of. Iran never tells their boys to slow down, you either have self control, or end your own career early. It's a TERRIBLE environment for any kind of long-term success in talented individuals. Because the more talented someone is, the more likely they are to push themselves farther than they can safely go. Rostami is a massive outlier in the length of his career. And the only iranian I can think of who was active across 4 olympic quads. Dispite iran fielding full (male only) teams at nearly every international event possible, which is still a ton of athletes, even without the women.

Just wondering my friend How come you worry about the man’s hair loss at a world weightlifting championship ? These are powerful men . I mean what has hair loss to do with his competition ? You either are bold yourself have lost your confidence as the result or just taking a piss of a once in a life time athlete?? Of all that you notice a minor detail like that .. However, since you have a thing for hair and wanting to know; . ‘men with very high level of testosterone (male hormone ) in combination with hereditary factor and others can suffer from an early hair loss . Now you are informed suggestively please either focus on the content of the event or perhaps watch other programmes where men have a perfect set of hair ! What the irrelevant comment ! 😊

I love to see the big cl & jerk guys overcome big leads by the snatch aficionados and take a medal away from them. Gor had 15 kg leads twice this year that he lost; in the Asians to Assad for gold and here to Yousefi for bronze. Kudos to him for making his 3rd attempt when he was in danger of bombing but he has such poor technique with his jerk it’s a wonder he doesn’t injure himself more often. His back right foot is flat and angled should have been corrected when he was just starting out.
