The guest is a good story teller but the interviewer made it unwatchable.

Genene....you brought some one with first hand information and in the middle you keep saying "Aydelem " ????....an professional .
As Ethiopian it's sooo sad! Was it for power or the Country all that killings! It looks interrogation. More than interview. No one is happy what happened but grief! God bless Ethiopia 🇪🇹 🙏 ❤️

ቡዙዎቹ በዛ ዘመን ያሉት ባለስልጣናትም ሆነ ይሄ ሰውዬ ብልጣ ብልጥ ታሪክ ነው የሚያወሩት። still they don't regreat and confess like their leader mengistu hailemariam. እንደውም the journalist want talk details. They don't have No more at all. I believe they were very easy to be defeated by woyane.Truth. የወታደር ቤተስብ ንኝ። collection of dammy us. ለወያኔ እና አስተሳሰብ የዳረጉን እነዚህ ናቸው።
Salute former imperial army officers great memories from past to present. The interviews conducting guy lacks ethics and skills his codes of conduct is unprofessional needed more training he tends to interrupt his guest preemptive strategy the free flows ideas and inquiries and discussions his guests has deepest knowledge about the past regieme. My recommendation to guest to 'Shager FM) Dereji Haile his staffs.

@@berhanunegussie6155 I had similar feeling when I first heard his interviews. But I am getting used to it now. His interviews are not the usual kinds of formal interviews. Because he is well informed, he makes his interviews simple, informal and two-way conversations. In the process he digs deep into each specific aspects and provokes the guest to deliver more information. His method is more of a conversation than an interview. But still there is some thing he can do better. He needs to allow the guest to finish his answers.

I'm surprised by most Ethiopian interests here, they don't like challenges, they prefer to listen & absorb somebody's biased or not true or gossip story as a whole. That's why we always fight each other with our history since we prefer to absorb the story from one side source, not from other perspectives. When the interviewer has knowledge about the topic of the interview, it serves to filter unnecessary granular biased, not truth, and at the same time, it helps to clear the story according to the chronology of the events.

This is not hard talk bro, you let your guest finish then u comment, u can't have an interview where you are constantly interrupting the guest.
@SK-ph7sz2 жыл бұрын
@@anwaryussuf4220 It is not folktale storytelling but a knowledge exchange for a particular historical event. That's why journalists need basic knowledge about the subject they host; otherwise, carrying a camera and microphone doesn't make a journalist. Libro's knowledge about the event adds value to the interview

@@SK-ph7sz I never doubted genene having knowledge, what I don't like is his constant interruptions, he should learn from derege from arts tv on how to conduct interviews.

@@anwaryussuf4220 I'm not a fan of Dereje who always gives a free ride and adds more exaggeration to the story told by his guest instead of filtering and clearing ambiguous issues raised during the interview session. Don't forget that nobody is free from bias when presenting the history/ story of some specific period time whether political or other topics. But when the storyteller is the stakeholder of the event partially or fully then the degree of biasness increases proportionally. If you are able to perform a careful analysis of all the interviews, you can pinpoint the storyteller's deviation from neutrality. At the same time, I admire the guest's eyewitness knowledge & sharing mechanism to keep and support the strong & competent historian to compile the history of the Derge period
