Kinda glossing over the whole continuing of the war in Afghanistan, not closing GITMO, proliferation of secret spying of every Americans digital communications.. It feels good to like Obama but when you scrutinize his entire term it's a lot more complicated for a rational thinker. He was given the Nobel peace prize and his speech at the acceptance ceremony promoted slaughtering people all over the globe in project US dominance. When he came to the town of Flint after the water crises was exploding to national attention all he did was sip a tiny amount of water from a cup and say it was safe. Why didn't Obama use federal resources to help the people of Flint? Where was the Army Corps of Engineers -- they're literally among the most qualified people to fix a city's polluted water. After that stunt the US Army was authorized to use abandoned properties in Flint to conduct military exercises using live ammunition. Instead of helping fix Flint the Commander in Chief, Barack Obama, let the US military use the city for target practice for urban warfare exercises. instead of calling in the Army Corps of Engineers to give Americans drinking water. It's sick.

"Dave, you are contributing to the coarsening of the culture." Hilarious. And then Dave goes and calls his presidency! Thanks Dave and Barbara. And President Barack Obama!

Watching this after Kamala's first interview. Can we have Obama back, please? 😂😂😂 No, seriously, how hard would it be to find another guy who is cool collected, smart, very well read, wide-ranging in knowledge, funny, caring, friendly, clear-minded, value oriented, self aware... We didn't see it at the time, but the guy was that good!!

DAMN!!! Only 3 elected black Senators at that point in time? Unbelievable. Well, sadly, not unbelievable. Maybe embarrassing is a better word?

He can still stir people up. Witness his speeches at Kamala's rallies. A real orator.

@Letterman When it comes to Barack Obama, I will quote Michael Moore: he was the first black president, great personal merit, what else?

At a certain angle, he looks like Norm McDonald. I wonder if he's told that all the time.

He was the first president I could vote for (second term technically) and I don't think I'll ever see someone as adept for our highest office in my lifetime. Even for all the legitimate criticisms he and his administration received, I think it revealed more about the complexities and ethical problems of our nation and government than it did him as a person.

You never know what fate holds in account for you. Of the 12 years that followed this, he was president 8 of them.
