Welcome to Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries DLC "Call to Arms" playthrough. In this video I will show you the gameplay of a full missions as well as the MechLab where you customize your Battlemechs. Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries is a game about stompy Mech action. You take command of a mercenary company and try to grow your income, salvage Mechs and hire Mechwarriors. The game includes a campaign with a vast storyline.

This DLC is all about Melee Mech Combat. With new Melee focused weapons like hatchets, axes and swords you can dominate the battlefield in close quarter combat. Apart from a bunch of new Mech Variants a new Mech joins the ranks of Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries: The Hatchetman. This 45 ton Medium Mech can cripple enemies with its Autocannon and Medium Lasers at range just to close in and take components with its Hatchet.
The gameplay is split in two different parts. On the one hand you will have to manage your resources, hire new crew members, outfit your Mechs and travel through the Inner Sphere star map. But the action starts as soon as you get into the cockpit of your Battlemech yourself to fulfill contracts on the battlefield to earn more C-Bills and progress the story. I will review the weapon systems, battlemechs, show you how to build the loadouts and train your pilots and take a look at all the different mission types and upgrades of the MW5 Heroes of the Inner Sphere DLC.

I was yelling at the screen for you to not go for that secondary on that endgame mission. All your mechs were dry ammo wise and your PB was falling apart. Glad you thought better of it! 🤣

Yeah, that was almost a tragedy! The PB is one of his top three mechs and full of good weapons and equipment, and an elite headshot build.

As far as I know the Hero mechs you receive from End Game missions are independent of factions are you playing for or against. It is useful to review the Mission Data before you go to the contract negotiation screen to see what class Hero mechs you'll be awarded upon completion. Look for the following sentence: "Reward: 2 random hero [assault/heavy/medium/light] mechs and an assortment of max tier [weapon] or [weapon]". If you're only interested in Assault mechs then reference this line before accepting the mission.

54:25 That Hunchback 4X is a loot pinata for prototype heatsinks. 1 kit and 4 individual ones. Sadly 2 of them are in the legs, so if you leg it, you won`t find them in the loot table, if you CT it, you lose the kit and less chance to find mech parts. Good thing is that 3 parts are enough (+2 more from other variants, from missions with inner sphere stuff)

One nice thing about the knockout over the basilisk is that the knockout offers an extra 10 tons for ammo and cooling with missile quicks for a back up weapon. Also, since the two ballistic hardpoints on the knockout aren't on the same arm, they aren't both lost if the right arm falls off. Besides, the knockout will also be a better option if Baradul decides to make an LBX20 build happen.

One tweak you NEED in the pretty baby is a heat management life support upgrade. You could also swap the clan double in the side with cooling lines for 2 protos. And to get black carapace in it will require an ultralight gyro for an additional CT slot

The Pretty Baby does pretty amazingly in terms of heat management, I'd argue that finagling a black carapace in would be more important at this point. That being said the heat management life support would be great, as would swapping the double for 2 protos in the side with cooling lines.

Could also replace TC Adv PPC with TC Modular. Then add the BC PPC (slightly less damage 10% Vs 15%) as well as the BC Heat. I also prefer five I.S. PPCs (Tier5) for better heat management.

You should try playing during the Dark Age timeline. You'll miss out on a lots of story mission campaigns, but you might have access to even more tech. So far the only tech I've noticed that you haven't come across are the Gatling Machine Guns.

Kaiju is definitely a PPC monster. I e got one running 4 clan er ppcs and it absolutely wrecks. As long as there's not a mild hill in between 😅

The mechs you get as a reward for endgame missions aren't decided by faction. They're decided by the type of mission. As far as I have been able to tell the Endgame Battleground is the only one that always gives hero assault mechs. All the others give lower weight classes.

Wenn du effektive selfrepair Panzerung haben willst, baust Hardend Armor ein und jeweils ein Harhel2 oder noch besser harjel3, das wird zwar im Zusammenbau extrem teuer, aber der selfrepair effekt ist massiv besser als zB mit Black Carapace oder der anderen automatischen selbst reparierenden Panzerung .....

I stopped letting the ai use an arrow mech for just that reason. Lost some good weapons and gear that way.

A relatively easy to find Hero mech would be the Warhammer Black Widow. The origin story of the Black Widow is also kind of well, sad. Very 1980s rebel-without-a-cause-esque.

I have the Kaiju on my current run, I gave it 6 level 4 clan er ppcs and everything ppc related (capacitor and battle computer), it can do over 150 alpha damage, and it was running heat neutral until I threw in the capacitor and black carapace, but it's still not so bad at less than 8 heat per second, and about 4,3 cooling per second

Ally AI controlling Area-of-Effect weaponry and hitting allies is exactly why drone's in reality typically don't have permission to fire on their own. The number of misidentifications and resulting destruction would be even worse.

Battle Field End Game is the Assault Random Hero Mechs. But I suspect the Reward list is Vanilla Hero mechs. Not 100% sure how ever, but when ever I've gotten hero mechs, they have been Vanilla list and none from the YAML or other Hero mechs. #tip

Good call on that "strategic reversal" when your mechs were crit and out of ammo. Do you have any interest of playing/streaming the new armored core game that comes out later this year. Not sure of you have any interest in that series.

Drop the Center Torso PPC and put black Carapace in it. It bring's the PB so much more survivability. And with BC PPC and Energy your dmg didn't drop so much. It has more as enough fire Power. Its Tricky because of the weight but is possible. My PB is after this an absolute Killer.

try doing a MRM 30 boat with the Atlas H. I had it in the game play that i was doing it was really fun and had soo much dps i think that it had 4 on there and i could just hold the fire Butten on chain fire and i would not over heat

Sir! I know you know this, and I know you like the Basilisk's LB-10's on solid for the pinpoint but you are missing 30% damage and so much crit potential when you are fighting inside their spread range anyway, especially when the entire build is based on that weapon. TTK's would be so much faster.

I have, on the hero conquistador mech, installed 9 of them. A single volley easily deletes light mechs, and headshots anything.

According to the mod author, the end game hero mechs are in fixed pairs, and the packs are random. It is possible to receive the same pair twice in a row.

Oh, U do not have the latest version of Coyote mission pack mod. In the latest version, tanks in endgame rescue mission are deployed near U and by dropships.

Knockout huh? Well, how I'd load it out is a couple CLBX, some clan medpulses, and some MRMs, ATMs, or even LRMs. All depends on one's taste in missiles, because SRMs ain't gonna do much on a slow mech. Which, Maulers inevitably are regardless of the engine you cram in. Anyhow, the missiles are for distant mechs, the medpulsrs for vehicles, and the LBX stay in cluster shot so they can both crit out components opened up by the missiles and medpulses, and swat VTOLs out of the sky with ease. Hell, even though I don't have missiles on my Basilisk, I still stick to cluster mode because I find it to be far more destructive than solid shot mode.
