This brought me to tears. Regardless of what anyone thinks/thought of George Bush, this was a beautiful, lasting relationship. Such a refreshing thing, especially in this day and time. Barbara Bush also had a sense of humor, she was elegant and graceful. Even in those last days, she remained graceful. These loving letters from George to Barbara are very touching and loving. I never was a fan of the Bush's political aspects in American history for the most part, but i am deeply sadned to hear the death of Barbara. It was good to know that she had a great sense of humor til the end (i actually laughed when George W spoke of when he saw his mom on Saturday, and said the the reason why George was born the way he was, was because she was drinking and smoking when she was pregnant with him) May you rest in peace, Barbara, and may all of us see the happiness in life that can be held..., even after death.
