Married for 73 years! That's a whole lifetime in there. Some marriages (or even life ) don't last that long. And unlike some marriages there wasn't any controversies at all. This alone should be considered and be respected. I still remember as a kid watching her, always wearing her pearls and that grin whenever she says something frank. RIP Mrs. Bush! May the Lord welcome you in paradise!

Yes there are controversies that were covered up. One, apparently Pres Bush Senior had mistresses especially a work-wife that Barbara knew about. Read this: tca-reference-desk.blogspot.com/2004/04/jennifer-fitzgerald-described-as-george.html?m=1

Veggie Soup I sincerely think Barbara isn't the type of woman that will put up with infidelity. If there is one thing that I can believe is that George Sr. is afraid of his wife to pull a Clinton :D

The same could be said of GW Bush as he too has only been married to one woman, despite of some quiet allegations of inappropriate behaviour. Like father like son.

A classy lady and to have been married for 73 years! This story makes me cry tears of joy because you cam see that she and Jenna had a very special relationship. It also makes me cry tears of sadness because she had to leave her family behind. Mrs. Bush reminds me so much of my own grandmother who recently passed away at the age of 95. This generation of women are strong and tough, yet loving and kind.

That was a nice video of her. 73years of marriage. Wow. Not much marriage last that long till death do us apart vows. And they show what a marriage is and what it should be. And they stood by that vow they made from every angle. I am not married my parents never walk down the aisle either never engage. I am 41 and I hate my parents for not setting that type of image as a parent. And for the way I see life for what it is. I do not ever want to get married nor relationships. Being a single mother is best for my part. But it was great to hear the love story of first lady Barbara bush and her husband. A blessing they were indeed to share they life with others.
