This woman is a rich woman boosting the entire system...ABC needs to bring us people we can identify with...How do I identify with a person living in a 10 million dollar mansion...I am happy for her but I need a small starter home and the best person who can help me should be someone who is familiar with average joe...That woman hasn't left the upper west side of Manhattan for 30 years

Here is one issue - now that people are realizing they can make money by buying properties and renting them out, one of the problems finding a house to buy now. If someone isn’t buying the affordable ones to turn around and flip, then you have people buying up the affordable ones to just rent out. They’re not making enough new construction homes, and the ones I have seen new construction were duplex purchases OR over 300K+.

we are already seeing historic price drops in western states 10-25% drops didnt happen in 1950s 1960s 1970s 1980s 1990s or 2000 you know that ?

@@billystutz55 i think we are in for a historic downturn theres similarities of 1929,1970s and 2008. so many people dont even think this can be as bad as 2008. But the only good things about now then 2008 and its basically only 1 thing is lending standards ok great but we have 15 different bad things we can count on our fingers and then some . and dont forget we never fixed 2008 we pintched the severity of 2008 it was suppose to be worse then what it was and thats why we called it the great recession cause it was basically a great depression that was juiced with injections and deformed

Trying to predict what might happen this year is not the best homebuying strategy. Buyers sitting on the sidelines today in anticipation of lower prices tomorrow may end up disappointed!

Home values will continue to fall well beyond a decade. Too many people locked in record low rates, for RECORD HIGH COSTS. Prices only need to decline about -10% for catastrophic results. Risky HELOCS, Airbnb busts, and decade long value declines, combined with commercial real estate in the red, across the board. Foreclosures are only now starting to uptick. Supply is increasing, NATIONALLY. This bottom won't show until the mid 2030's at the earliest. -40% on top of the -8% seen this year. God bless, America.

The part that showed how painfully out-of-touch this woman is was when she insinuated that a person could go from buying a studio apartment to buying a multimillion dollar place...easy breezy. 🙄I'm really sick of people with this "if I can do it, so can you" when they leave out so many variables. Even Robin Roberts gave her a side-eye on that one. Then making it seem as though someone can reverse mortgage their way out of something, and buy in markets that only the rich can afford. Corcoran has been giving bad advice for a while now, because she's not realistic about about working class people can and cannot afford in this housing market that has been taken over by rich developers and rich foreign buyers over-paying for properties, then either holding on to them for forever, or jacking up the sale prices and rentals so high, that only the rich can buy or rent them.
