Barbara Mandrell - Celebrities Off Stage (1992) Wedding at Fontanel

This is a very special "Celebrities Off Stage" from 1992. Hosted by Lorianne Crook, this two part episode is the first broadcast tour of the Fontanel. There is great footage of the Fontanel while it was under construction and the tour of the house is detailed in that it shows Nathan's treehouse, playground, and even the sound proof gun range in the basement. There is an in-depth interview with Barbara as well.
The unique part of this video is that it has footage of Barbara and Ken's 25th Anniversary renewal of their vows. It shows the set up, turning Barbara and Ken's great room into a wedding chapel, the rehearsal, the actual ceremony, and parts of the reception, including the couple's first dance. This footage will be 30 years old in May of this year (2022). I have put the two parts together into one, long video and it is well worth a watch!

Just was wondering how Barbara's Mother was doing with her health these days? I know it was hard losing Mr. Irby . My Daddy died 8 years ago, and I haven't been the same. The consultation is knowing Daddy is with the Lord. Going through death of parent is a very difficult life changing incident. Hope that Ms. Mandrell is doing well. I am glad that she has her 3 daughters to be with her. ❤️

My guess is because of her age and I would think that her car accident has left her with arthritis which would not allow her to do the kind of stage moves she loves. Can you imagine her standing still and singing ? ....she most likely cannot but a lot of us would just love a recording. Her first home was pretty to. Ken and Barbara could have grown old in their second home, but she did not that. Because after 14 years she wanted to move to a smaller home. Today she acts if this place ever even existed. Now her second home, the one you see now is abandon and supposed be torn down. Very Sad! I love Barbara’s voice. But in my humble opinion I do think she became greedy when it came to her second home, since after 14 years she did not want her second home. Where ever she is I hope she is happy in her third home.
