What a nice way to convey own AoW4 content via analysis and observations of different game mechanics that factor to the multitude of builds and playstyles! No undescriptive klick-baits with "ultra-best builds", or irrelevant, inconsequential, and insubstantial tier-lists. I really enjoy your series of reviews on cultures, tomes and other aspects of the game: concise, straight to the point, presented through the prism of personal playing and theory-crafting experience; sharing with the viewers the wisdom, whilst leaving them the space to find the synergies, and connect the dots - and thus the joy of discovery. I suggest watching PotatoMcWhiskey's Barbarian run. It explains a lot and really shows the power of this culture. Though he doesn't use the making outposts enough.

I'll do some runs myself soon too, as soon as I am finally out of the learning rabbithole :D And Outposts I think are more important in PvP than in PvE

@@Ic0nGaming One of the important things is just how insanely powerful the tier 1 units are for the Barbarians. The skirmishers can really just destroy things. And if you get some good spells and upgrades to help it can turn them into killing machines. Even if they become to paper thin later and you can transfer to Berserkers and other things you get from Tomes, they are still just zerg rush level damage dealers just from watching Potato's playthrough.

Ran barbarian underground rats one game against the ice queen with blizzards active. Made for a fun challenge. I think the key to going barb is really utilize vassals surprisingly. They allow u to keep up ur research, mana, rallies, and convert ur gold or mana easily. They also provide buffers if going wide. My game had at least 10 vassals in underground from my race alone. The main challenge is utilizing all the resources u gather early game to retool ur armies to get through mid game b4 u get body slammed by higher tech cultures in late game lol

Currently working on a Tome Guide for each affinity. I will work on tier lists as soon as I have analyzed all the stuff there and got an idea how to realistically rank all that stuff.

you could sort of semi-one shot them with assassinate ability. with steadfast puting hp at 1%, assassinate have 99% to succeed and it goes through steadfast i believe

Is there a list some where of where mounts end up when you choose them? Here it is the fury. Industrial it is the Bulwark. Any others?

T3 Mage in High Culture. Knights in Dark and Feudal use whatever mount is selected. plus get the 10HP buff.

Sidenote: "Mount" traits have unwritten effect of giving "Cavalry" property to certain culture units for cultures that don't have mounted non-scout units (Tier 3 units for High, Mystic and Industrious cultures, Tier 2 archers for Barbarian culture).

It's specific for each attack and shown near a yellow curved arrow symbol in the tooltip for each respective attack

Houndmasters don't belong to the Barbarian Roster, they belong to the Tome Of The Horde. That's why I didn't feature him there.

No, cause the Houndmaster isn't part of the Barbarian culture, he comes from the Tome Of The Horde. This video was exclusively for the Barbarian roster =)

@@Ic0nGaming But you can kill thel without steadfast activating if you stun them beforehand. If they're stunned steadfast don't activate
