Tip to barbasol, bring back the larger cans and keep the aluminum bottom lol. The little cans now cost the same as the big cans did.... 😔 And bring back arctic chill or even better the cool menthol which had a colder feel.

I noticed some folks putting down a Barbasol. It's damn fine shaving foam and I remember that was about the only choice you had. I tried them overpriced BS soaps and creams and I don't see much difference.

Barbasol is one of the best shaving foam in the world; with straight razor you need an old style shaving cream lathered up and applied with a shaving brush.

Provided you a.) Clean the razor more often than you would with a brush soap or cream and b.) take shorter strokes, this shouldn’t be a problem at all. I see a lot of wet shavers who experiment with Barbasol using it like they would use their shave soaps, not taking it to account that Barbasol was never designed to be slick or lubricate your skin afterwards (there’s a reason cartridge razors have lubrication strips, hint hint). Speaking of which: Same goes for when they experiment with cartridge razors. They use long sweeping strokes without applying pressure, then will barely rinse the cartridge, and are like “Haha this cartridge razor sucks look at how much hair is left!”. I see this and I’m thinking well yeah, you ran the damn thing over your cheek like a lawn mower! No shit it left hair! I hate to say this to fellow wet shavers. I love my Gillette slim adjustable, my Edwin Jagger, my Proraso pre shave, my Arko, my Feathers and my Gillette Blues…but you guys need to practice better shaving techniques (and alter them when switching to a straight or cartridge razor), and take your biases into account when assessing things. I could just as easily get a nice shave with a cartridge and barbasol, and have done so plenty of times, but I prefer the ritual of DE and brush shaving.

No, it's not. It's a brushless shave cream and it's a good one, too. They replaced it earlier in the year with a new version. It too is a fine product.

My Indian Barber do not use hot towel instead they use a facial milk to clean the skin then apply the lather and then start shaving
