Barbasol Shave - First time User

People give me all kinds of things for shaving. Especially family and friends a year ago I received a Barbasol shaving cream from my wife's friend who went out of her way to pick it up and send it to me. When I thanked her over the phone I went crazy for it and told her it was the best shaving cream I have ever used and I use it all the time. When I think of that act of kindness it brings a tear to my eyes just thinking that not only did she see Mary in the nursing home but thought of me as well you couldn't have a better friend than that.
I have never used Barbasol until this shave so you can say I'm a first-time user. I was shocked to feel the lather and how thick it was it almost begs to be hot. One could say it was pumped up with air but I'm not 100% sure that was happening here.
Applying the lather was simple and easy to do with my fingers and once I started to shave this is when you know you're using shaving cream from a can. Even the worst shaving soap maker would give you some slickness and glide here I could not feel any. What I normally enjoy from artisan shaving soap was missing from the Babasol unfortunately but I'm not saying it was a bad shaving no, it was a different shave that I feel for me personally was somehow not enjoyable even though I had a good shave.

Donald, I hope you recover from your ailment and I hope all goes well with your brother. You thought you were having a really bad, bad week (and you were) until you heard about your brother and it's true...things could be worse for you and then you realize what others are going through and then your situation doesn't seem so bad. My wife always reminds me of that all the time and she is right. Regarding the shave...sometimes an OG like Barbasol is needed for those quick and simple shaves when you don't feel up for the task😊 Stay healthy 👊

I know a lot of the she shave snobs look down on Barbasol but I use quite often when I'm in a hurry. Barbasol is old school and has been around for many years. Great shave Don. I use Barbasol on my head most of the time and the last time I checked, my old barbershop uses it. Glad you are okay and that your brother is doing fine. Mom is doing great and getting around much better. She's still tender where the stitches are and has a little bit of a tough time doing twisting motions and she is still limited to how long she can stay on her feet. Have you thought about retiring Don?

Hey Don! For your throat/Respiratory problems; get yourself some Natural honey. (I use Langnese, which is a German brand I find at import foods stores). It HAS to be natural honey (Most Grocery store brands like Sue Bee, are fake honey, or severely diluted). Pair it with hot tea, or for immediate relief, just take a spoonful, and let it dissolve in your mouth for a minute or two. Get well, my friend.

@@MrDonXX I used to have chronic/reoccurring throat infections from working in a soap factory (Fine particulate talc was the cause). Used to get sore throat and strep throat in winters, but I use honey at the first sign of irritation. Multiple times a day, and haven't had an outburst in six years.

Hello, friend. I have had repeated lung damage. Deadly mold once, which started it all. Then problems from dust or mowing, which I had for decades. Then scraping a bathroom sealing and it was dimly lit, so I did not realize there was a lot of joint compound dust. Things that helped me were, peppermint tea, peppermint gum, colloidal silver(drinking dose). You might also look into Clear Lung. I heard a really good testimony about it, for an emphysema case.

I also would breathe essential oil of peppermint. Sometimes I put 6 drops in a new corn cob pipe my brother bought me for this purpose, and just inhale through the pipe. Incoming air passes over the peppermint oil that is in the pipe bowl, and goes into your mouth and/or lungs. Tastes sooooo good. So does orange oil. I sometimes add frankincense oil as it goes against cancer.
