I really enjoy your videos Dan. You're a normal dude out fishing. You're not a sponsered angler putting in 10 kilos of bait and you don't have 5,000+ quid of gear. You're just a regular bloke like me. Keep up the good work mate!!

Thanks for your kind words James. I should say I got alot of my bait for free from spottedfin but yes I use what tackle I've got for more than it's probably designed to do but if it works then I'm happy!

Cool session dan, trent has been fickle this season so good result, I'm from Essex but live in Nottinghamshire and my lot think anything above Peterborough is the dark north lol, I've consulted my fellow pagans, nothing to do with any of my friends lol, blessed be dan, tight lines and wet nets mate, cheers Craig

Haha brilliant! Peterborough? Thats a part of London right?! 😄 So you're really pagan judging by your channel name, glad you can take a joke mate thanks for watching 👍

Morning Dan, bloody hell I thought you were going to lose the whole lot in the water from that fish. Oh & I've had a word with a few of my pagan mates, we don't know where Yorkshire is or never heard of it, so your safe 😏

Hi Dan, over time I noticed barbel are real tricksters, they often bite when you are not attentive or when you're busy ! 😁

Well done Dan, another enjoyable barbel video. That first one really took you by surprise and incredible power from a smaller barbel too. You did well to get two barbel in daylight as I’ve heard that the Trent has not been fishing that well so far this season. I sometimes use two 8mm pellets for my barbel fishing but find they go soft fairly quickly and don’t last longer than half an hour in the river. How long do you leave your 8mm pellets out? I’ve had four week long trips to the River Wye this year and done reasonably well with some poor days and a few red letter days. A couple of weeks ago I had my very first Wye Double at 10.9 lbs after six years of trying. I look forward to more of your barbel videos in due course. You are as enthusiastic as ever!
@dangoesoutdoors8974 жыл бұрын
Yeah mate I was surprised it wasn't a big double figure fish but just shows how strong they are. It does seem like night time is better on the trent at the moment so I think choosing to walk as far away from the crowd as possible was a good decision. The krill and halibut hookbaits from spottedfin generally last about an hour especially if I give them a small paste wrap which is long enough for me because I'll probably move or recast by then on a day session. Well done on your Wye double thats amazing 👏

Nice video as always. do you reel in your lines when a boat comes by? looks as if the lines are a good way up in the water. i should say that i have never fished a river, so i am not familiar with the style. Thanks.
@dangoesoutdoors8974 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate 👍 usually I can look and see from a long way off if they're going to hit my lines, only had to reel in a couple of times that day

great content as ever, but could you please consider either losing the backing music, or lowering the volume of it please. ts good to be able to hear you talk, without the music. kind regards.
@dangoesoutdoors8974 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Yeah I'll have a play with the volumes, part of the problem is it always end's up sounding different after I upload it so it's hard to balance

Maybe use baitrunners rather than big pit reels could save yoyr gear 😃
