I started losing hair noticeably at 17. Then I made my life's best and wisest decision: accept it fully and don't fight it. "So I'm going to be a bald man? Let it come!" I never looked back and never worried about trying to revert, hide or disguise my baldness with anything. At a certain point I started shaving my scalp, and again, I never looked back. I'm happy this way and couldn't imagine myself with hair on top of my head again.

@@goytabr I'm 31, no hair loss yet but guys on both sides of my family are bald. They accepted it and shaved their heads, didn't bother with hair loss drugs or anything else. You have the best attitude about it. If it's coming for me I will be the same way. The guy in this vid is in denial but I can't blame him.

Bob was super encouraging to the client about his hair. He did a great job on the beard but cant be a miracle worker on top. A buzz cut would have looked nice, but the client isn't ready.

Nah not always. Sometimes to harsh looking. This looks fine, softer texture doesn't need to look like a swimming cap just yet. Unless it's like a grade number 2 maybe look ok bit I hate that 0 slap head look unless your totally bald.

You can’t really get your hair back without a hair transplant surgery. There’s no magical product out there that prevents or fixes male pattern baldness unfortunately

I fought shaving my head for years. Soon as I did I felt so relieved, as dumb as that sounds. I was getting biweekly cuts bc it helped me not look as bald. I’m saving time, money, and just feel better about it now

Great video and an awesome transformation. I am so glad there was NOT a buzzcut involved. He still has enough hair to do something with,especially with Bob to guide him. He has amazing eyes that seemed to be brought out more with the haircut. As for the people picking that he didn't talk alot--not everybody is comfortable in front of a camera,let alone while having their hair cut. Kudos to Bob for helping to put the client at ease by explaining what and why he was cutting his hair and beard the way he was. Much love to you all.

He has good, strong features and a nicely shaped head, then those warm brown eyes. He would look really good with a super short haircut. Of course, he can still use the Keeps and see if it grows back in, maybe have a longer style in the future. But for now, I think a buzz cut or shaved head would look very flattering on him.

Man, I so wish that hairdressers in the salons where women go were as attentive to what the client wants as you all are to each client. You make them feel good about themselves. And help find complementary styles that distract from things like male pattern baldness. And, after several videos watched, you all are honest and manage expectations. Great job! I am a retired nurse and I keep my hair really short on the sides and back. Even when I brought a picture of what I wanted, my hair wasn't blended well. They need to emphasize how to razor texturize and how to blend. I laughed when you told the camera how great Amish beards are when Amish people use cell phones rarely and don't watch anything like KZbin except in their rumspringa.The beards are grown after they are married so they are a church member and wouldn't see this. But you all do incredible work.

Guys, I know you have to make the customer feel comfortable, and that you can only recommend styles. But as a barber, and as a possible friend, you really need to be telling him that the best thing is a buzz cut. Great job on the beard though.

You can tell in the beginning of the video that this guy was ticked off that the world saw his baldness. You can see on his face that he has been trying to cover it up, and got exposed in the first few minutes. Lol. Like one of the comments on here says, "Come on home, man. Come on home."

That the world saw his baldness was only because he agreed to be filmed. At his age I had hair like that but not the extent of beard. It would have been truly bizarre to have had a long beard back then, not like now when everything goes. I never would have allowed a photo, no less a video! So now, at 73, I have a buzzed head (I don’t bother with actual shaving) and a nice beard, varying on length by my whim. Quite happy with the way I look. Grooming is quick and easy, and free. Still, no photos please.
