This little overdrive pedal gives you the best tones of the past, present, and future with its unique Dynamics control and the internal Note Shape trim pot. The Barber Burn Unit features a three way switch that gives you the stock Burn Unit sounds, an asymmetric clipped preamp tube tone, or an asymmetric clipped power tube tone. The Dynamics control lets the user adjust the amount of compression of the overdrive, and the Tone control is a very wide ranging adjustment for super bright snappy tones or semi-dark fuzzy lead tones.
With the Barber Small Fry overdrive pedal, almost anything is possible. The Dynamics control and Burn control are very interactive, giving you anything from light uncompressed overdrive to creamy sustaining lead tones. Using the internal Note Shape pot allows you to adjust your tone from big and round to tight and focused. The overdrive is smooth and creamy with sparkling top end and big bottom. Midrange can be adjusted via the internal trim pot for a more tube screamer type tone. Like all Barber overdrive pedals, the Barber Small Fry gives hi fi clarity and note separation as well as great volume knob response.
