Al salaamu alaykum. While this conversation was of benefit on various levels, please review and consider these suggestions for a follow up video or series of videos: (1) Leave out the music while the brothers are speaking as annoying to listener and provided no benefit; (2) Limit the folk in the camera range to those who actually participate in the conversation; (3) Prohibit non-participants from entering the joint and making noise as it distracts participants and listeners; (4) Fix your audio levels and video angles prior to starting the recording as it would provide more of a professional feel; (5) Consider writing your questions ahead of time so as to benefit from most of Brother Shadeed's (or other guests) time by touching upon more issues, and; (6) Keep your POSITIVE energy flowing as I felt nothing but LOVE in the room wal hamdu Lillaah. I applaud you brothers for taking the time and sacrificing money to produce such videos and humbly encourage you all to keep at it while improving from episode to episode in shaa Allaah. May Allaah put barakah in your efforts and reward you all with Al Jannah - Aameen. Baarak Allaahu feekum.

May Allah blessyou for your opinion. i personally like the camera angle shots. i think it gives its genuine feel. and helps us young ones the importance of being in our their/our comfort zone because people play up once the camera is focusing completley on them and even though we gain knowledge we find it difficult to transfer it in reality. whereas these bros are just relaxing and it helps to us know we can discuss some heavy issues as the message IS heavy, and it helps to know one can chill at the same time. I Ask Allah we get to meet in jannah. Ameen.

As salaam alkium family, it is these types of honest conversations that we as MEN need to have in order to heal ourselves first and foremost. Then our families 2nd. Our immediate community 3rd and then the Ummah itself. I appreciate this conversation and I would like to have one here in Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island. Barbershop conversations for males who are striving to be Men. I would also like to recommend to everyone to read the brother's books that he recently published. They are filled with nothing but truth. And that in itself will heal the person reading it. May Allah continue to keep us all on the Straight Path.

ASW! I believe when the brother said that Hijab is a religious obligatory, he meant that Allah (Azaa Wajaal) has made it Fard...and when we look cautiously toward it, we see many wisdoms behind the fact that sisters needs to cover themselves such as safety, etc etc....However, the fact that the brother Mohammed tried to make it as if it was something that " ain't not big deal" if you are not wearing it, and worst some people even in the conversation said that sisters weared it or want their women to wear it just for the "Image" , La Hawla wa la quwata illah Billah! We need to fear Allah when talking about something that Allah has mentioned about it in the glorious Quran my brothers, we are not legislators of the Noble Book and Allah swt, himself is the legislator and prophet Muhammad (saw) is the best conveyer and the best example for us to follow because his character was described as "the Quran" by our mother Aïsha (ra). I am gonna conclude with this hadith On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RadhiyAllahu ‘anhu) who said: The Messenger of Allah (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “Verily Allah (Glorified may he be) has said: ‘Whosoever shows enmity to a wali (friend) of Mine, then I have declared war against him. And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to me with nafil (supererogatory) deeds until I Love him. When I Love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge with Me, I would surely grant him refuge.’ ” [Reported by Bukhari] Allah knows best! May Allah forgive me if I said something wrong and may Allah guide all of us to the straight path.

Assalamu Alaikum 😊 Thanks for your feedback. I feel u, but what the brother was saying and what we were agreeing to wasn't that hijab isn't a big deal, because it is Obligatory, but what was meant was that we can't expect a woman to become a Muslim one day and then do a 180 degree change the next day. We know that this is a process so what he meant is that we should have patience with people.

It's not about being strick,if the content is Haram on the television then it's haram by virtue of that content. No doubt television is a norm in most modern society but the fact something is normalized doesn't make the haram halal .The Reality is that the evil influences are becoming more and more ubiquitous and the struggle with that must be dealt with through knowledge and practice in experiencing victory and failure, not by throwing the towel in with a can beat them join them mentality and attitude.

You can not be a critical thinker when it comes to authentic ayaat and ahaadith. Islam is istislaam (complete submission). Ibn Taymiyyah has the great work 'Ta'arud al-Aql wan-Naql' which refutes this greatly. Clarifying that the correct and pure 'aql (intellect) ALWAYS coincides with the texts of the Quran and Sunnah, even if the specific text may seem strange or contradictory. If you end up using so callee 'critical thinking' you will end up rejecting many affairs of the unseen and affairs of the end of times.

If you believe that Allah has a hand, eye, or anything thing that is anthropomorphic, you have to be crazy. Those statements about Allah being over the throne and having a hand, is metaphorical. If I said, "the Queen of England, has the government in her hands" is not saying that the actual government is in her hand. Islam is based on logic and reasoning, not fairy tales. You have to be a critical thinker.

@@blueskyy43 I don't represent any school of thought, I came up under the leadership of Imam WD Muhammed, who taught us to be rational thinkers. I can knowledge from many people, as long as they are not out of the fold of Islam. I don't like to be put into a box, such as, salafi, sufi etc.
@prof.gibson22755 жыл бұрын
no biases with me, he keeps mentioning that over and over, because perhaps he acknowledges his errors, guilt or lack thereof as he is constantly put in front of the people, speaking (much) opening the door to many mistakes, often speaking without wisdom, not putting things in their proper context, nor raising the bar. It seems that he knows that he constantly speaks on and deals with very sensitive topics, religious or not, in a very un-scholastic manner, and I'm always humbled by his lack of care concerning knowledge base issues (Quran & Hadith) showing his lack of scholarship and manners. I am honestly disappointed every time he speaks, not that I dont agree with him or feel the topics are useful, but for a student, someone who studied for years, is very poor compared to others who studied less time. I just feel sad that he doesn't express or conduct himself on a higher level, I thought I would have saw growth from him over these years. secondly, talking about the scholars in this manner, online, and with laymen, isn't appropriate or showing etiquette of a student. How many stories we know that we can mention that would drop the jaws of Muslims? But is that a good thing to do, what is your intention behind mentioning that story of Shayhk Muhammad Madkhali? i think brothers get so comfortable that they forget themselves, we will be asked about our actions and statements, especially mentioning others, knowing that their honor could be violated and info spread concerning them, by listeners and even believers of our blessed dawah. return back to the book concerning the etiquette of the salaf, students and first generation of Muslims, and imitate and follow them. That doesn't mean you cant address issues that relate to our community and or concerns. But follow the best examples if you believe as the Prophets alayhi salaam believed. everything he said about himself as a child i see now, Allahumustaan, what is going on with him. if speech is from silver, silence is golden. we need someone like Abu Uwais (may Allah forgive him) right now, subhnallah

So the difference between Br. Shadeed (ie. Salafis in general) and Nation of Islam is that, while both groups agree that Allah has two hands, the NOI says that those hands are black, while the Salafis do not comment on the colour. I fail to see how this is an improvement over the anthropomorphism of the NOI. Please get out of Salafism.
