Naw the *Roll Around Heaven All Day* at the end had me dying

Lunch Break is Anti Crossroads. The higher singers have hair and the low guy doesn't. But Hank Schrader is really a great tenor singer man.

Thank you for uploading all these Lunch Break videos. Loved these guys. I'm new to the hobby (firmly entrenched in my own strange one - bagpipes) but after learning about Shane's late wife my heart is just breaking for these guys. I'm so glad they made the 10 when their hearts were whole.

Just came here from 2024 Newfangled Four breaking down barbershop comedy in the Barbershop Cliché…and I can’t help spotting the barbershop comedy clichés in this routine that’s about breaking down barbershop ballad clichés. ;) Maybe I’m the only nerd who delights in this kind of meta on meta

Here’s a fun fact for any fellow guitarists who might be here: the music for Love Me and the World is Mine was written by Ernest R. Ball, whose grandson was “the” Ernie Ball of the Ernie Ball/Music Man company.

I just learnt about the band last week through their 'deformed farm' - my poor old pelvic floor had a serious workout - and am now binge-searching videos of their songs. What an awesome bunch, and what a great sense of humor! The sadder it is to hear about Shane's wife. :( @Shane Scott - I wish you lots of strength and great friends who have your back. I have no idea whether it helps you to know that, right now, your music is helping people like me through hard times, and I want to thank you and the guys for having made all those awesome songs, allowing people from all over the planet to view them, and thus bringing a bit of sunlight into their lives. I'm sure your wife is smiling up there in heaven, proud and glad she met you down here.

Continue the uploading. I have learned so much BHS Lore just from watching these videos. These keep filling in plot holes.

Same, I feel that! I feel like the t time I watched this, I got 10% of the jokes, but now I'm up to 95% lol

SAME. I am nothing more than a random on the Internet (my background is violin/piano/orchestra, not even close to adjacent to the vocal arts) and yet every time I inflict one of these videos on my friends I find myself spewing all this trivia about the inner workings and history of an organization I have otherwise zero knowledge and participation in. Bless all these comedy quartets and their love of inside jokes.

Was this one of their actual contest songs? Rather than just in an evening show. How did they get permission for a TV screen and PowerPoint!!
@rogerdotlee5 жыл бұрын
This was during 2014 international convention in 2014. They're a comedy quartet. That's how they can get away with murder.

Hi Bethany - Shane the tenor here. We checked the rules, and so far as we could find, there was no prohibition to using a screen like a TV. They may have changed the rule since then - I haven't searched the judging handbook. As an aside, it was VERY nerve-wracking to use that. So many parts: the computer, the TV, the hookup, the remote clicker, the PowerPoint program. Any of those things could have malfunctioned. Fortunately, we took the risk and got rewarded!

@@lifeontheledgerlines8394 mainly this the song that they sang when they won i believe, and the squinting in the distance is something that rasmus does frequently. and also of course i'm not actually peeved by it haha

@@joshiyoshi2176 Oh, I forgot about that! Yeah, I listened to this before I ever heard the actual song, so when I was listening to Ringmaster's version, I sang along to the parody lyrics. Oops. And yeah, I think there's a few other quartets that do the squinting thing too. Sorry I didn't get the joke. Have a nice day, and thanks for not being annoyed with me for misunderstanding.

@@joshiyoshi2176 The squinting in the distance was more a reference to Sean Devine, the lead of OC Times. I don't think I've ever seen him sing without his eyes closed.
