My friend had it when we were kids & I was so jealous.... But last year I got one for me! I think its the most beautiful of all Barbie carriages! Its so grand, and I wouldn't say it looks barbie, it looks more like a handcrafted decor - look at all the details!

I love how old barbie use to use that gold detailing and real material, like the little material cover that goes over the carriage is so nice. The horse even looks real I also love the little lights on the carriage I would love this set💕 I wish barbie gave those brochures in her sets today but the old cars and sets looked way nicer back then

Personal preference.... I really don't care for current Barbie offerings unless is some "Collector" items here and there.... Been looking at old Barbie items.... I noticed in the late 80's and early 90's there were a ton of dolls with this type of fluffy gowns.....They are so cute....

This was my very first barbie set as a kid. I begged my mother for it. Got it for my birthday. I remember walking into the front room and seeing it all set up on the table, along with the barbie and Ken. It's one of those sort of presents you never forget.

Sigh! Back when they put in some 'effort' into the Barbie stuff. Even though the dolls didn't have much articulation, they still looked great.

Yeah.. the only high quality Barbies these days are sold to exclusive members only, typically cost hundreds, on top of shipping & membership. And if it arrives faulty, there's no replacement guarantee. :/

I always loved this doll but never got her because in my country I couldn't find her! She was only in some Barbie stickers from the then Barbie album, and if I remember correctly she was in the cover! 💜💜💜💜 I think you should display her with the carriage and horse, she looks lovely 😊🌻

I am fully blaming that Crystal Hearts Barbie for my inner childs renewed interest in the ball gowned dolls of that time. I got her second hand and it lead me down the rabbit hole of the big beautiful gowns of the late 80s and early 90s. I love the birthday ones. Oh be still my heart! The carriage is cute. Not something that I would get as sets take up space but its really lovely to see it.

"This came out... in 1993, the year I was born." I'm not crying in old, you are. (I owned the original Crystal Secret Hearts Barbie as a child and it was one of my favorites and now I'm stalking ebay to get myself a new one... I also want this horse and carriage.) ETA: Looking back, I honestly think this whole set (Barbie, Ken, and the horse + carriage) was meant to be an unofficial bridal set. Doesn't make me love it any less, but if someone used this as part of wedding decor or had it inspire their own Barbie themed wedding, I would not be surprised.

I have this set (secondhand) as I collect old Barbie horses not barbie. This is the most exquisitely made carriage! I also love this horse mold, it was used for Champion originally I think. I got Champion as a kid in a set with horse riding barbie. Which is where I first fell in love with this mold and Barbie horses.

Little 2 year old me was in love with this set. I don't remember using the carriage or even the doll that much but the horse. Oh, he and Gymnast barbie did do on so many adventures. And...you're right. Those shimery bits did get tangled super easily. But not super tangled. It was decent enough. Also, I'm kinda laughing because this video has answered the question of where a lot of random trinkets around my house actually come from.

Yes cuz they use the same mold, Champion. Horse mold (pose) named after Barbie black stallion. It was also used for Mulans Khan, but that one has plastic tail.

@@NenadlPopovic Its called Mulan Real Riding Horse Khan made by Mattel in 1998 when the film cameout, actually Khan has two versions. The regular one and Gift Seft came with Mulan riding with Khan. Mulan is displayed beautifully with her long black hair taped in an upward postition which gaves a relating like her hair is flying in the wind when she rode with Khan.

@@NenadlPopovic The other horse of Mulan Real Riding Horse [ Mattel ] is just Khan himself but any Mulan doll doesn't matter But I think the Secret Hero one fits perfectly to pair with the horse😀😊

Its absolutely the same horse with same color detail etc in both boxes. 2 versions usually mean different mold or details (like right now Elsa Nokk came in 3 vers: hasbro, disney & jakks). Btw there was supposed to be another Champ mold horse, grey with dots, named Glory - but he was never produced, only seen in few catalogues.

I´ve got the carriage and the horse as a child and still have this in my cellar. But, of course, it is used and not in a good condition. I still have my two Barbie houses, another horse wich and make noise, a dog which can make noises too and my caravan. I have my Cabrio thrown away because it was damaged and the back wheels were missing. But I´m happy that I keep the other stuff and my dolls as well. I wanted to sell them when I was a teenager. The same with my Barbie and Flintstones bedding.Stange that we keep it as adults.

The white horse is the same as Gypsy Magic Horse from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) which is made for Phoebus and Esmeralda so they can both ride!

I'm wondering if the doll you have which you refer to as Crystal Hearts Barbie in your video here was named differently for the Australian market? When I bought her, the name on her box is Secret Hearts Barbie. I understand that Mattel sometimes give different names to the same dolls for different international markets.
