I love him. I think he & all the BMR1959 dolls are giving early 90s hip-hop (would explain the oversized coat), and I'm here for it. His lip gloss and nailpolish are icing on the cake. Perfection - Kada 🤩💚

I like his clothes and his look generally, but some of the other dolls in the line I am less sure of. I definitely get the whole 90s street wear vibe from them though. I wasn't collecting dolls when this line came out so I don't know if there was any controversy over this Ken doll at all, but I am totally here for him and so glad to have him in my collection!

Yes, I have another of the BMR Kens and they are really lovely dolls for sure. It's great when they make the effort with Ken, sadly it doesn't happen often.

I love this doll so much. As soon as I found out they existed I nabbed them myself (a year after they came out - pun intended?). Congrats on adding them to your collection! ☺☺

Thank you. They are a fabulous doll for sure, love the hair and the face up and the fact that they gave them a manicure too. I got mine a few years after the line was released and was lucky enough to find them in a department store, they had a few so I could choose the best one too which is even better. They are perfect for my collection.

Love your new hair colours!!! This BMR reminds me a bit of Sylvester when they had short hair, they have a very similar look make-up wise. I love that he/they're so different from the usual Kens. ✨🥰💚🤗✨ A few months ago I managed to get the man bun Ken BMR.

First - your hair is amazing - I LOVE the colors - just looks really good! :) And I have to say I do love Tango - they are one of the first BMR's I got and one of my first "Kens"...those BMR dolls were really nice. (I do HATE those tags with the fire of a million suns). 😀

I have a second BMR Ken who I haven't unboxed yet. I really liked Tango's clothes but this second BMR the clothes are imo just awful! (Thank you, I felt like a change with my hair so was trying to do a gradient colour, I think it worked okay but not sure I can repeat the magic a second time now!)

I was so lucky, I managed to find them being sold in a local department store a few years back so I could see them face to face. I'm really pleased to add them to my collection for sure.

He is so handsome! I regret so much that I didn't buy him when he was available for a decent price. I simply don't like his flat, flocked head. Love the color though! But the head looks so round 😬... I should have bought him regardless and give him a hoodie 😅 In general, I love the artwork from all of them! I liked the shoebox idea. To me, they have a huge art toy vibe because of that! It is sad that the line did not continue... BTW, great review! Like always 😁

I actually really like the flocked hair, think it reminds me of having Action Men toys when I was a child as they always had flocked hair too. I like the fact that they took to trouble to flock the BMR's head when - because it is basically a buzzcut - they could have just used plastic molding. I really like the shoebox packaging too and the artwork seems very cute - like you say it does give the dolls an art toy kind of feel about them.

​@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis I agree. It is nicer than just plastic hair... maybe it is the combination of hair and pants for me. But restyling is always an option for me 😅 I will keep my eye open if I can get a good one on the 2nd hand market^^
