I really loved the colour that adding the petticoat to the skirt gave to the whole outfit and it helped tie it together with the red boots which I adore! There is something very 60s and stylish about them.

It's nice to buy dolls but also it's great to also sit back and enjoy those dolls too and redress and generally have fun with them. I'm definitely looking forward to sewing and creating interesting looks for my dolls.

I suppose the main issue is that these kind of Sindys are about 40 years old at this stage so they are in short supply, especially if you want them in nice condition. I have no idea why there are generally no dolls in charity shops or at flea markets here. I live in Dublin so don't know what it's like in other parts of Ireland.

Thank you. Yes, the quality of the clothes is lovely. I really wanted a hat for Ellowyne and this one felt like the right one to get as it seemed more versatile and I loved the pearl detail and black braiding.

They really are, and such a nice size too. I also imagine that sewing for this size of doll would be a lot less fiddly than trying to sew for a Barbie.

I've been trying to be good with my dolly spending too... but then I found out that there were going to be some new Ellowyne and Neemas at the end of this month so that might be out the window. I know! I would love to get an Ellowyne dressed in an original Tonner design but it may be a little out of my range. I am even hesitant to commit to the subscription but it would be fun to make videos to show them off. We shall see. Would you rather have more Tonner dolls or build their wardrobes?

@@CherishedDollFriends I'll be honest, I actually feel more or less satisfied with my Ellowyne collection, but I have to admit I would love a wigged Neema. Although if I fell in love with an Ellowyne doll I would still add to my collection. I do really want to try and make some clothes for the dolls next too.

I guess Ellowyne looks like she is about to do the can-can so it's understandable that she evokes France so much. I was really happy with how all three turned out, would I have mixed the stripes in the way that I did if I'd had other options? Probably not, but I wanted to use what I had and I think they all worked pretty well.

Thank you so much. The belt is such a useful extra piece to have. I did try putting on the gold trousers OVER the bottom half of her Life's A Beach playsuit but sadly it just really bunched the shorts up and looked bad.

The fact that the Jakks Pacific dolls can actually sit down is such a bonus, but it's a shame they don't have the inset eyes which is the one think which I believe makes these dolls so special.

You do wonder if these things are tested before they mass produce them. It's also sadly ironic that they would give them double jointed knees but then make it impossible to be able to utilise it due to the flawed hip articulation!

Were the Disney ily dolls available in regular stores over in the US? Here they are literally only available through Disney stores (of which there are very few) and the website (and I'm guessing at Disneyland Paris too), so that wouldn't have helped the sales. But it does feel like Jakks Pacific are still producing for now with the three budget dolls and the three regular ones that they've just released.

Thank you so much 🥰 Yes the fashions packs are great, and as you say, they look amazing on a variety of different dolls. So far Jakks Pacific have only made dolls, so not sure if they will branch out into fashion packs too or not. It would be nice if Disney told us if this is the end of the ily dolls from them or not. I think it would be a huge shame but maybe the doll market is too saturated to support all the different brands which are currently out there.

You are right 😁 Personally, I don't divide these two lines that clearly. Because they share most of the facesculpts, but the difference of the eye type gives a different impression overall. And of course, they use different bodies in terms of articulation and shape. So far, they only made dolls with extra clothing in the "painted on eye" version. It will depend on popularity and budget if they bring out fashion packs, especially for the different body types... We'll have to wait and see. In general, I am surprised how Disney handles the ILY series. The first wave of the Disney shop one was so promising! I don't really get the decisions Disney made...

For me, the faces and the inset eyes outweigh the leg issues. Hope you get your dolls soon and enjoy her as much as I enjoy these.

Tbf my dolls just stand on shelves, but it's a lame that as soon as you try and get them to sit down their legs pop off. That said, I do really love the design and style of them.

I think the Jakks Pacific dolls will still be available, and it could be that Disney are just trying to sell out the first two waves before they bring out the third, but at the moment we just don't know and companies never seem to announce when doll lines are ending (Mattel's Barbie Extras for instance).

Ironically the Jakks Pacific versions of the dolls are finally arriving in toy stores here in September, which is probably over a year since they originally came out everywhere else! I love the inset eyes on the Disney versions though and will miss that, it's such a unique feature for a doll of this size.

I love the details on the first wave Snow White's outfit, she looks really nicely put together and the pink cardigan is really cute too. That said I do appreciate the second outfit more because of it's goth/alternative style. The glasses situation is just weird!

I'd actually forgotten about the heart part of the Snow White story altogether so thank you for the reminder. I guess the main thing that people remember is the poison apple more, but it's nice that they used that part of the plot thread in this doll.
