Im so happy their going with the campy traditional Barbie idea. I absolutely love thay idea. When I heard there was going to be a Barbie movie, I rolled my eyes and cringed, but the trailer I had a full turn around it. It looked so fun. Even if its not the greatest movie ever, the cast look like they had fun, and seeing a colourful movie in an era of edgy superheros and remakes galore its a nice change.

I hope they actually do make it fun. I’m so tired of political Hollywood constantly attacking more than 50% of America and calling it kind. I’m sure even liberals agree, let people just enjoy a movie together and stop using movies to be manipulative and slanderous about the beliefs of others that they don’t even understand or care to. It’s not fair to conservatives that Hollywood builds in people’s minds what’s called a “strawman” for fools to argue against thinking it’s the reality of what conservatives believe. It harm BOTH political sides. It divides and distracts, it kills peace and joy, it doesn’t push reality, it pushes disunity and hardens hearts on both sides. Let a campy fun movie just be fun.

The way the cast reacts to their dolls is so wholesome. Seeing a childhood fantasy become a reality. The ones we dismiss and put away as we get older, but the pure joy of rediscovering it. I wasn't interested in seeing The Barbie Movie at first, but it seems like they are going with the whole tongue in cheek humor, but I definitely want to see it now.

I’m going to sound so dumb saying this or rather outing myself…. I had to dress up as Barbie when I worked at a big retail chain for a promotional Christmas event about 10 years ago. And each time I see things about this movie it totally take me back lol. I also remember being like uhhhh I can’t be Barbie as I’m no where near as pretty as her. I did it for the kids tho! And pulled it off a they all called me Barbie, no complaints.

Originally the idea was an inexpensive doll that you could buy additional outfits for. Then they realized they could make more money just selling a new doll to get each outfit. That is why Robbie kept getting handed multiple dolls that were all her doll. Multiple outfits equals multiple dolls instead of 1 Robbie doll that you could buy multiple outfits for. In the movie they should do that just have Robbie say she is changing outfits and a new Robbie comes in to relieve her.
