"I actually don't know if I even owned a Barbie." Margot Robbie may have not been obsessed with the dolls as a child, but there was one thing that she was extremely keen on: the Barbie Dreamhouse. From constructing her fold-out house as a 5-year-old to seeing a life-size version come to life right before her eyes, Margot Robbie truly manifested her Barbie dreams. Margot breaks down her entire process for the 'Barbie' movie, from the mental preparation for the role, working alongside Greta Gerwig and Ryan Gosling on set, the fabulous pink wardrobe and so much more.

I feel the same-when I watched that “thank you vs sorry” video years ago, it honestly changed my perspective on the words I use every day. “Sorry, my mistake!” And “My mistake, thank you for catching that!” have a very different meaning now and changing the language changed me for the better. Thankful to Barbie for that life lesson! 💖

apparently the idea of a Barbie movie was being shopped around for many years and it was pitched to different actresses and writers but it always went nowhere. When she talks about how they used softer fabrics for the costumes towards the end of the movie vs the ones used before, I realised that most actual Barbie outfits do look very stiff and geometrical on the dolls because the threads of the fabric are so much larger compared to the doll's size than to a human's, so even super thin fabrics don't create the same effect of softly wrapping the body. That's why the first costumes have a doll-like quality, whereas the yellow dress Margot wears near the end looks so natural. The attention to details in this movie is amazing.
