I miss the packaging from the vintage/Mod/Superstar era. Especially those Superstar era cardboard pink boxes with those amazing illustrations on them... (And they could now use recycled cardboard, couldn't they?) Mattel seem to make the packaging unnecessarily complicated these days, don't they? LOL ... yes, VERY Edina Monsoon/Ab Fab fashion victim! 😆 LA-CROIX Sweetie, LA-CROIX!!!!!!

The plastic might not be recyclable. I think shoe boxes are the best option for the environment but I don't see that happening for the foreseeable future. But yes, even in the SuperStar era the boxes were more friendly. The late 80s is when it started to get out of control. Hahaha, Fashion Victim! Love it! I want to be a Fashion Victim!

I like number 10, she has the Alec mold which i love and her outfit is cute. But then again, 35 euros or Dollar is way too much for these dolls. If they reduced this awful nightmare in plastic- namely packaging- they would not only reduce nasty hand injuries, but might also be able to reduce their prices. Also, I think opening these packages is too dangerous for children, there should be a warning referring to the sharp plastic, seriously. Other than that, I like the rebodying result, very nice doll :)

Definitely! The packaging would cost so much compared to a simple cardboard box. It is extremely dangerous opening these even for an adult! Thank you ❤️😊

Put her hair on another doll.I have an extra but not this one.I had to cut the package apart, but I did recycle it.I love the hair, clothes and outfit. Thanks for sharing.

How would you do that? I recycled mine too. But gosh is it a pain to separate. The doll isn't completely awful. The face is just not to my taste. Thank you ❤️😊

@@DeanReen re root the hair. I haven't attempted it yet🙂 I am guessing you would have to unbraid, separate ,root and re braid. Or glue it too a bald head and keep a hat on her🤣🤣🤣 Have a great day❤️

Barbie once upon a time used to be a protagonist, nowadays she just an EXTRA... Nameless, referred to as a number and of dubious quality and non existent taste. Mattel needs to stop chucking out this garbage products we all know will end in the landfill or clogging the shelves of thrift stores within a few months... Instead of releasing so much hideous tasteless crap they should focus in selling items worth the prices they're asking for even if they only release a handful instead of the dozens of lines they constantly come up with and no one cares about... :/

Amen to that! Really disappointed how Mattel has diluted the Barbie brand in the last 10 years. There is literally nothing out now that interests me.

I remember as a kid that you would get a doll and it would be a big deal. It would become part of your identity and you would treasure it. It feels like every doll is just another doll now and it is sad. I bet Mattel is making huge profits though and that is all that really matters to them.

Not just ridiculously lot of plastic, but it's impossible to open, and when you open it, it became a lot of garbage. Seriously can't believe how Mattel can do this when our planet is dying. The old boxes were not just less plastic, but it could be reuseable to keep the doll in it. The Barbie loves Ocean line is a big bollocks in the light of the other line's packaging.

The clearly don't care and don't listen. I have not heard a single person say "I love the way dolls are being packaged these days". Parents hate it, collectors hate it, anyone that cares about the environment hates it. They really should just stop, but they won't 😔💔

i bought this doll too, but as a clothing donor. i am a sucker for floral prints and those colors were irresistible. It's weird now cos i have only worn the outfit less than a handful of times. It's like none of my dolls can ever truly own the outfit or something. Now i hate the doll even more. Those perforations on the box are ridiculously useless. Opening the box is still very cumbersome. 😆😅

The colours are EVERYTHING! So 90s. LOL, you SHOULD hate her. The outfit really is cute though. I think I put it on a ken doll. The boxes are just plain nasty TBH. Mattel should be punished.
