Nothing new, though. It’s a standard concept for humor. Look at the Zucker movies like Airplane!, Naked gun, Top Secret and Hot Shots. They are super silly, over-the-top slapstick but the actors play it completely straight, thereby making it even more funny.

Pregnant Midge was my favorite discontinued Barbie. I remember even as a kid thinking it was truly an unhinged concept lol. The removable belly…The tiny baby inside… And of course the conservatives were in an uproar because she was a single teen mom, So Mattel shuffled her into a shotgun wedding. I can’t remember who her husband was. I LOL’d every time I saw her in the movie 😅😅
