I didn't realise when I first watched this scene, but Sasha and her pals are clearly modelled after the Bratz dolls, Barbie's biggest competitor. One friend appears to be called Jade, and Sasha is nicknamed "Bunny Boo", the same as her animated counterpart.

It's a movie man up, the irony you as a male being so feminine is what is wrong with this world destroying masculinity!

I know that this movie's only a fantasy, but Barbie can randomly walk into a middle school lunch room, and not a single school administrator asks her to leave, nor questions her mere presence?

Just like the social politics that was just displayed in this scene, Barbie is such a liberal film

Barbie entered the doll world in 1959...I was 9 that year. I wanted one; my mother said, "No!" due to Barbie's outlandish proportions. I begged every year for a Barbie...and got one the Christmas I was 16, with an entire trousseau sewn by my "defeated" mother from the Barbie patterns available in pattern catalogues. In my turn, I sewed Barbie wardrobes for nieces and my own little girl. I now have 3 grabngirls, and they will each get a Barbie with a grandma-made trousseau made from those same patterns available on the secondary market by wise women who know that Barbie outlived Miss Revlon, Little Miss Revlon, Jill and Jan, and, yes, Mel Odom's "Gene", and even Tonner's Kitty Collier 18" and 10".
