Great video! In answer, I went to my BF 85 prom and I wore a short dress! I was the only person in a short dress and felt revolutionary. Mine had lots of lace and was lavender. I wore it with fingerless lace gloves and purple fishnet and a big bow in my hair (Madonna inspired). ❤

I really love that they used the superstar face, but jeez those eyebrows are throwing me off. I totally agree with the dress, hair and rubber band. The 80s were all about big hair and clothes!

Hi Chad I just love the rewind series I am so sad they have been discontinued What a bummer. Yes Chad wearing a short prom dress was an IT thing to do more so in the mid to late 80s They were fashioned influenced because of Cyndi Lauper & Madonna. I do see your point though her dress should of been much more embellished for an 80s prom doll. Her hair should of been bigger but she is still really cute 🥰

I was 9 in 1985 and yes that was the style because mini skirts had made a reappearance and girls didn't really want to look like their moms from the 50s and 60s prom but i feel you i personally do not like the mini dress sparkly 80s look it reminds me of like DEB or Fashion Bug lol I am dating myself hah hahaha

Even though I grew up with the Superstar mold, I'm not a big fan of it. The 80s was mostly an ugly time for fashion. They needed to get out of the 80s. That is the reason I think this line was canceled.
