@@BarboursAutoHelp Thank you for reply and my apologies for not promptly responding as I should have but I was on family driver duty. I use Torque scanner and the codes it gave are 1- Current Fault P0016 - Powertrain (Crank-cam position correction) 2a - P0011 Powertrain, "A" Camshaft Position-Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank1) 2b- P0018 Powertrain 3- P0021 - Powertrain, "A" Camshaft Position-Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank2) 4- P1000 - Powertrain First code is marked Red and 2nd and 3rd are marked yellow and last two are without color. I have already taken off intake manifold and both valve covers. Bank 2 was slightly dirty but bank 1 was very dirty with more carbon and gunk. I brushed and washed both with gasoline as other canned cleaners were not doing well. I have already ordered gaskets, Camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor and two vvt solenoids. I just bought this vehicle from auction and my mechanic says it's junk to I as usual stated working on it myself. Changed all fluids (NO flushing). Drilled a drain hole in PTO (no leaks so far 😇). Next I plan to inspect wiring harness and reinsulat. Please advise in light of codes and generally on other steps that you advise me to follow. My apologies for long story but honestly want to share with you as with a doctor. Thanks

@@SohailMahboob-US usually when you get a “correlation “ code that means your timing is physically off. I’ve seen timing chains stretch, water pumps fail and Vct solenoids get stuck causing those issues. At this point it may be wise to have an experienced tech have a look at it. Chances are they will have to take the front engine cover off to inspect if the vehicle first passes a few tests. I wouldn’t say the vehicle is junk though from experience of course I haven’t seen it though.

@@BarboursAutoHelp Thanks again and got it. Let me put it together so I can take it to mechanic. Kindly do consider that I am a just a guy who like to get his hands dirty. Two more questions, since after removing the cover I can see the Chain, is it possible to get a hint that Chain needs to be replaced? Second when I was cleaning the covers I observed something. On the edges of steel plate studded inside the cover with three tiny holes. Are the edges sealed with some material coz first I thought it was gunk but later I suspected it to be some seal and since it was broken from many points i removed it. Any issues?
