This kind of talent and phenomena comes along very seldom and she had it in spades from day one. Whatever that extra "something" or magic is beyond her specific acting, writing, directing, singing, etc. abilities, she has it and can hold an audience riveted for hours. This is what she came here for and she hasn't disappointed or short-changed us.

You are spot on, sir. Frankly, I always thought that through sheer timing and circumstance - but not necessarily coincidence = Barbra inherited the mantle of Judy. At the very least their colossal talent is equal. Duets anyone? lol Barbra Streisand has the most distinctive voice on the planet of the last 50 years. Her talent and skill in other areas notwithstanding. I love me some Dame Shirley but doubt she'd direct a movie or be in one. Barbra is the whole package and in many ways an anomaly. It's difficult to compare her to anyone and that is fine by me.

I just love an adore the magnificent BARBRA STREISAND. The first song I ever heard of BARBRA was YOU DON'T BRING ME FLOWERS ANYMORE, and I loved it, after hearing that song I started researching her and I found out she had some great songs, so after carefully listening to some of her songs I was in LOVE with MS.
