The instruments used in this song were acoustic guitar, lead guitar, keyboards, electric piano, bass guitar, drums, shaker, and a French horn. "Women In Love" was a huge hit for Barbra in 1980, and occupied the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 for three weeks! It's on the "Guilty" album which was written and produced by Barry Gibb of the BeeGees, and to date is Barbra's highest selling album with 15 million copies sold worldwide. A song you might thoroughly enjoy was out the year before this one, in 1979. Barbra collaborated with the great Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, on "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)...the single went to number one on the Billboard's Hot 100, making it the first duet by two women to do so. It was both singers' fourth chart-topping single in the US, and number one for four weeks on the disco chart. "No More Tears" was also a big international hit, and made the top three in both Canada and the UK. Love to see your reaction to the 8-minute version that was played in Discos across the country in those days.
