Barry and his brothers (Robin & Maurice) wrote the entire CD and Barry and his production team produced the entire cd. On this song, Barry is playing acoustic guitar. On the other tracks, he’s playing and singing background. They have 2 duets on the cd as well. The name of the CD is called Guilty and Woman in Love was the first single from the CD. I know a lot of reactors don’t like to do background info first but on things like this….why not just google the info after you’ve heard the song to clear up confusion? Just a suggestion. ❤

After the huge success of the Bee Gees in the late 1970s, Barry Gibb began to focus on writing and producing songs. Streisand approached Gibb to write songs for her new album, and initially he was going to write or co-write only half the album, but the process went so well he ended up doing the entire album. All the songs were written by Barry Gibb, sometimes in collaboration with his brothers/productuon team, and were written expressly for Streisand except "The Love Inside", which Gibb wrote over a year before. 😊

@@jakesbel8237 Is circular breathing involved at all? I assume that it helps to be in good cardio-vascular shape to have that kind of lung capacity. She is the GOAT. 11 #1 albums in every decade since the 1960s. The most platinum albums than any other artist. The first woman to direct and star and write a movie. When she signed her record contract in 1962 she opted for less money but requested creative control over her music and got it. For any artist, that is a major decision. You have to check out her #1 duet with Donna Summer called No More Tears (Enough is Enough). The producer of the record said Donna and Barbra were both holding a long note in the studio and Donna fell of her stool because she was out of breath while Barbra still held the note and then realized Donna was on the floor and helped her up. RIP Donna, she was just as good as Barbra.

In the late 70s, the BeeGees found themselves boycotted from most US radio stations because they had been TOO successful and were "ruling the charts and receiving awards." "... between December 24, 1977 and May 20, 1978, the Bee Gees had six consecutive number one hits..." for example. During their exile, they wrote and produced this album, amongst others, for artists such as Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, etc.

The Bee Gees were considered the most successful pop band in the world at the end of the 1970s after their success with Saturday Night Fever. Barbra Streisand asked Barry Gibb if he could write an album for her. As a result of this request, the album Guilty was created in 1980, which was composed by the Bee Gees - specially adapted to the singer's vocal range - and also produced by their successful recording team. With over 20 million records sold, the album is one of the world's best-selling music albums and the most successful of her career.[1][2] Streisand sang the title song Guilty in a duet with Barry Gibb. The recording won a Grammy Award for Best Vocal Pop Duo in 1981. The released single Woman in Love also became the most successful single of Barbra Streisand's career and stayed at number one on the Billboard charts for 3 weeks.

Over her 60 year recording career she's sung jazz, pop, rock, disco, country, R&B, gospel, and classical (in German, Italian, French, Latin, and Occitan). In an interview at the height of 'Fever', the Brothers Gibb said they wanted to produce other artists. Their first stated choice was Barbra. She attended one of their concerts in LA, meeting afterwards. An initial couple of songs led to a full album ("Guilty") written specifically for Barbra by various combinations of the brothers. Barry and his team produced the album. This song and two duets with Barry were top 10 hits. The album was a massive success world wide. BTW, there will be a number of requests for the live versions of "Guilty" and "What Kind Of Fool". It's great to see Barry and Barbra perform together. They did so once during a fundraiser for her foundation. IMHO, the live performances don't match the full magic of "Guilty" (the album) as they aren't backed by Barry's musicians. For that reason, stick with the studio versions...or at least do both.

I love and appreciate all music, but the voices are the most important thing for me. She has the most beautiful voice. There, for sure, are many many more, but she is the most beautiful. Thank you for this!

Check out the "Guilty" cut if you want to hear a single from this album that's a duet with Barry.

'Somewhere' is my favorite Barbra Streisand song... my favorite duet of hers is 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' with Neil Diamond... but I love her duets with Barry Gibb, too!

Bee Gees singing background. Barbra asked Barry to write an album for her. They have 2 duets. This song was number 1 everywhere. He said Barbra saved his career by doing this when all the hate around disco started even though they did way more than disco. This song is from the Guilty album.
