100% agree and there is no doubt on what flick has done. But just one point on the training from last year. Didn’t lewy and Aroujo both comment that practices need to be harder. So if true, your key players were saying its too soft.
@WinterMasterPocketАй бұрын
and have in mind,Lewy was once alone in the first minutes of training several times and showed Xavi that the boys are late and Xavi said to him don't worry and don't put pressure on teammates,they are young xD
@ChristopherJohnson-d3fАй бұрын
Flick offers very quick transition from the defense or midfield to attack even before the opponent figure out they lose the ball..
@busiwellsialwindi1880Ай бұрын
my worry is the injuries which the team has been going through from last season and now my question is why do we have more injuries and serious ones i think coming to the point of view i think our players must be fit enough second they must start playing fast game to avoid many contacts with the opponents and also to caver spaces when we lose the ball very quickly to avoid panicking in terms of marking this is what made the injurie of marc bernal he went with full force
@ObikeIfennaАй бұрын
It's not about conditioning only but It's sure a huge part of the improvements Flick is making. Xavi's Barca was clueless a stagnant team just passing the ball around with no impact (As of last season not Xavi's first season because he had Adama traore, Aubameyang, memphis, etc who are high intensity players and all our key players were fit) But here is flick using the same La Masia Kids Xavi complained about to win Girona! Who won us home and Away 8 freaking goals conceded. We didn't win Madrid once! SO ITS BOTH CONDITIONING, MOBILITY, INTENSITY, VERTICAL FOOTBALL, FASTER MOVEMENT OF THE BALL. I mean Girona's coach was lost of words on what he encountered. So Xavi's still needs more experience and know that Tiki Taka without Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets is not possible.

To say that the difference between Flick and Xavi is only in conditioning is crazy. We went from park the bus 1-0 against Mallorca and Las Palmas to thrashing Valladolid 7-0. This is not a coincidence 👍

Akhm 0:4 El Classico with Ferran/Depay/Auba 😅 5:0 Antwerp 5:0 Betis....stop it allready, Xavis era had ups and downs, Flick is shining atm, so lets enjoy and stop compering them UNTIL Flick is here for 2'5 season - so please - ZIP IT already and enjoy Barca AS A CLUB!!!

Why is Xavi and his entourage so sensitive? No one mentioned his name. Just a simple complementary statement about the new coach, and he's already triggered 😢

i only hope after facing Bayern and losing they will be mentally prepare. Dont get me wrong,it will be something around 1-0 or 2-1 or maybe 3-1 if more injuries will appear. I believe in Flick even more then Guardiola cauze you can see the impact he has facing all thoose injuries but vs Bayern,they are not there yet. It will take time,approximately one year with the new physical staff and whole Flick medical team to rebuild them. Xavi was really a great baller but to be a trainer you have to forget that once you were a class player and transition. He just was more of a friendly philosopher to the team and Hansi Flick is a trainer who knows his work from scratch. Our team with Xavi didn't have identity,personality and a week medical team. Hope that next year with healthly players and one,two more transfers to expand the team we will destroy Europe.

With all due respect to Xavi, he should men up and stop bitching because the reality speaks for itself. The job he and his team has done was not the best. He should learn from this experience and improve his skills as a coach.
@Rilley-ym1njАй бұрын
Thats it, regarless of the conditioning they are playing good football now, combinational plays chemistry among players...they are all in the next level
@goffperuАй бұрын
They now have a pressing scheme that actually puts pressure on the ball AND the first pass. Before you would see Raphinha or Lewa running uselessly toward a defender who just passes to an open player.
@hamzazmamri5027Ай бұрын
That man to man nonsense Xavi tried to employ doesn't work in modern football, you need 10 Kante's on the field to press man to man. Girona played through us with ease before, and we can see on Lamine's first goal how the press now relies on triggers depending on different situations. The team is narrow and compact very similar to how Pep employs the press (Pep himself is a student of the German school when it comes to winning back the ball).

Flick took the players to the next level, intensity and focus from the 1st minutes to the last ones. Xavi was very limited he used to do the very same thing over and over again. His poor substitutions, poor tactics, and poor starting XI...I personally couldn't understand him, he could bench the player who previously performed well...Flick has the very same players that Xavi had but his tactics and mind set changed everything.
@samuelsuccess4677Ай бұрын
So true, i just couldn't get it, He'll bench a player that performed well just because he had his favorites. He brought everything on himself
@karabomodibane3557Ай бұрын
I doubt people think it just conditioning🤔 i think we all know its a combination of things but to see intensity from the first minute to the last is something that's really jumped out at people... So thats where the focus will be
@EarlCorreyАй бұрын
Under Xavi they all chased the ball like chickens with their heads cut off, many times running themselves out of position to defend.
@hamzazmamri5027Ай бұрын
I defended Xavi a fair bit, I still think he'll be a fine coach if he surrounds himself with better staff and of he experiments with an improved model of play, but Flick is demonstrating what a top class coach can achieve with a good squad. The intensity was lacking before for sure. Credit to Laporta for bringing coaches that will use la Masia, and flick is taking it to a whole different level.

I agree with your general comments about conditioning, but in Pedri’s case he has been putting on muscle. It is visibly obvious. Even the New York Times Athletic commented on it. I think the goal is to have him be more solid and not get knocked around and injured so often. So of course he is talking about conditioning
