Any one else would have got sacked before the season ended but since Koeman and Xavi are Legends they get away with being failures. Don't forget Koeman took over after the 8-2 debacle and got no backing from the board, while Xavi got signings and had the press glazing him hard. He only debuted Yamal because he was forced to not because he chose to. Xavis is tactically inept and so is Koeman. Xavi relied on the low IQ Dembele for his attack. He begged Dembele to stay and also blamed loses on not getting signings, on the grass being to tall, on the sun, and said the team was in construction in his third year. Also said there was no more Golizas in modern LALIGA. BTW the liga Xavi won was by scrapping 1-0 wins and playing like crap. It's the ugliest liga I have seen

Xavi was more focused on tactical play than Fitness forgetting the era of iniesta,Messi,Busquet amid the rest are gone who understand positional play so well,the problem is Xavi expect same pattern of play from his players like.in his era but the difference in quality surely played a vital role,Hansi on the other hand is doing his job base on the players abilities and focusing more on Physicality because he believes a player can give 200% if he is okay physically and that for him seem okay....Never see xavi as a failure though dear curlers,he did his best with us being his very first european team to coach and accepting to be our manager amid our financial struggles make him deserve our respect even more

The difference is that Xavi was still using old methods of coaching which was relying only at players technicalities forgetting that modern football players also need to be physically strong. By the way no wonder Barcelona players under Xavi will get tired after 60-70 minutes during the game and our opponents knew this weaknesses.

Xavi prefer Barcelona players to relax defending deep and playing with the ball all around with the purpose of denying and controlling the opponents after leading by 2 or 3 goals in the second half whereas Hansi Flick players must score goals nonstop until the game is finished.

In my opinion it is unfair to compare Xavi to Flick in the sense that Flick is a well seasoned coach with tons of experience as first team coach, assistant coach for clubs and national teams. He has worked with very top players. Xavi on the other hand is relatively new to coaching. Barça was his first proper job coming straight from the Middle East. Xavi has a lot to learn in coaching and he needs to be humble and accept that. No shade to him. Has his own good qualities but needs to work on many personal aspect such as character on the touchline and all. Even putting both their names in the same sentence with respect to coaching is a big time compliment to Xavi.

Barca didn't win La Liga because of Xavi, we won because of our great defense and the talent of our players. There were so many sweaty late wins or 1 goal difference games that year. Tactically Xavi didn't do anything special and it was evident in the subsequent seasons. He is far from a genius coach, if we removed Xavi's name and history as a legendary player we would be a lot more critical of him. As fans we are not objective when analyzing him as a coach imo. I took the wool off my eyes when I couldn't keep turning a blind eye to the truth.

Kudos to Xavi and Koeman who gave a lot of chances to young players from La Masia and this has helped Flick utilize them and trust the Academy players . Pedri Gavi Fermin Fati Lamine Cubarsi Arajuo Balde are the work of Xavi and Koeman . They are the core of this team and is perfect for Flick’s high pressing , high intense gameplay.

I'm currently very happy with Flick right now. But I also did that when Xavi first takeover Barca. He's not that bad, he did won us two trophies in approximately 2,5 seasons as a manager. He also accepted the job when the situation in the club was at its worst and take Barca from 9th to 2nd at the end of the season. And yes, he's not that good in Europe (UCL & UEL), but that doesn't necessarily mean he's a horrible manager. In my opinion, Xavi still deserves my respect.
