This tactics is great but only works if our attack is lethal with our chances, we saw that against osasuna where we dominated but were killed on the counter, our best attackers must start every match and kill the game early then they can be rested and hopefully it would be easier with the return of olmo

They DO NOT need to start every match. Go ahead and overwork them and we lose them for longer than a match. It’s more about rotating only one of raphinha and Lamine in a match because they’re so important and their level is much higher than our other forwards. Lewa CANNOT play without both anymore. Hopefully we see a better team with rotation once Fati gets his form and Olmo comes back

I've always said that Flick protecting Lewa will cost us alot in big game. Now Flick is playing more defensive than he would like(kinda like Xavi did). Balde needs to be fed long balls behind the defense, his cutbacks are lethal. He needs to be the winger he was when he was young. Xavi showed what he can be given the freedom to go up higher. For me Ansu can do more with the ball than Ferran can, he just needs time

I’d rather play a 442 midblock vs strong teams tbf, this is too much risk defensively and even in a midblock we are more than good enough on the counters to cause problems

Hansi uses different formations in a game depending how our opponent attack and defend. 4231/ 325/4141 when attacking and 442/433/4222 when defending.

Its not about fitting ferran torres and getting output from him, he is just using ferran inorder to give rest to our forwards and to avoid injuries.The same role will be done by raphinha with output once olmo is back.

Given how Flick needs a player that can press defensively while also being a great attacker (like Olmo) I don’t think Joao Felix would work in this system. Yes he could return to his favored role (behind the striker) but his defensive pressing, much like Coutinho, is terrible.

As much as I enjoy what Felix can do when he’s at his best, he doesn’t have the non-stop motor Raphinha has. Flick is putting Raphinha’s gifts to great use but he always played this hard. It’s Gavi I most want to see under Flick. I hope we get a good run of games with Pedri, Olmo, Gavi, Raphinha and De Jong all available for rotation with maximum energy and collective rhythm. I do agree that it would be interesting to see how Felix would have responded to Flick’s coaching but Raphinha was born for this “never stop running them down” mission Flick has given him. Same with Gavi.
