How the club opporstes Sporting wise is another question, but they've made huge leaps on the economical side of things.
@footballhipstertvАй бұрын
Sporting wise, Barca won the title in 22/23, and haven't finished outside the top 2 in over a decade. For context, clubs like Liverpool have been seen as doing well on the pitch, yet in the last three seasons they finished 2nd, 5th, and 3rd(last season) Football media is all about narratives, not facts. Arsenal finish 2nd 3 seasons in a row and they're the new powerhouse. Barça finish 2nd last season and it's a HORRIBLE season.
@FCBCuler1Ай бұрын
@@footballhipstertv Those teams have way lower expectations tho, Arsenal have never been a UCL winner and hasn't been a league champions in 2 decades. Liverpool had 30 years of pain with the odd big title since the Premier League rebrand. Success for Barça is winning everything and at least being a top 3-4 team in the world. They haven't really been that lately. Like Messi said after we won 8/11 league titles and 4 UCS in 13 yr. We won't know how good we've had it until now. I'm a big fan, but this lacks some research. Barça have money, they're one of the most profitable clubs in the world, but Bartomeu's regime went a little crazy with wages and because of the pandemic and La Liga financial rules, this jeopardised the sort-term future of the club. Laporta is trying to correct that, but the gap between expenses and justifiable income was too large so he was a little desperate with his choices of partnerships. Barça actually have a lot of money, they're one of the most profitable clubs in the world, the problem is mostly La Liga financial rules. Anyway good video still.

@PhilliesNostalgiaАй бұрын
Sell Lenglet after this season (may have to be for €9-15M), Ansu Fati sadly should leave, I don’t see a place for him currently, even if healthy, Ferran Torres is pretty much useless and has to go, Eric Garcia also should leave, preferably buying out the last year of his deal (25-26). On the topic of Christensen's injuries, it should be noted that he has been playing with that exact problem on his Achilles for A YEAR. Yes, you are not hearing that wrong, for a year he has to put up with it because Barca literally don't have any back up players besides literal kids, and since there is a limit on how many youth players can be on the pitch at the same time, it means that he has to play through injuries for a long time. So the jump from 1 month to 4 is not strange, especially if he and the club are looking to completely fix that injury

If would have taken you a small amount of time to research you would see that our debt has gone done drastically, our wage bill has doubled since February and the signings of Kounde Raphinha and Lewandowski were strategic moves by the board to compete immediately (which paid off bc we won the Super Cup and La Liga plus we became a player in the last edition of the UCL). Sure Barcelona is not perfect and I agree with sentiment of Laporta being honest with us the fans but if you compare Barcelona from 4 years ago to now, you see the positive changes Laporta had made during his tenure. We’re actually doing very good financially it’s on the ffp side of things that we aren’t doing good, as Fabrizio Romano said months ago. Problem isn't salary cap, it's the fact that LaLiga changed rules 6 months after Barca generated over 900 mil euros via levers and practically erased all that money from books and forced Barca to find other ways of generating money in next summer. They did that just to make life as hard as possible for Barca. And fun fact LaLiga did not change rules in 2006. when Real Madrid sold 100% (not just 25% as Barca did, but everything) of their TV rights for 7-8 years. Also we have problem that english teams can spend as much as they want, and they will maybe break 115 rules and will probably get no punishment other than like 50-100 mil euros, which is nothing for Saudi owners. Same thing goes for PSG. PSG broke all FPP rules and UEFA found them guilty, and what was punishment?? Nothing. UEFA just told them they have 5 years to fix it. Problem is not salary cap, problem is that it only exist in Spain. Only in Spain you can't register players if LaLiga thinks that you will break rules. If that was case in every other league, I promise you half of Premier league team would not be able to register their players.

the reason why the club keeps on buying high profile players as laporta said it's bcs of the image, the reason why they sacked xavi is bcs of his press conference that damaged the image of the club, if the club surrendered and started acting like a dying club then no investor will put money in it, that's how laporta works he is trying to keep barça's image while fixing things slowly
@bhagirathpriyavrat821Ай бұрын
The Dani olmo registration thing is until the next window and one thing to keep in mind is that the 346 mil figure for revenue from camp nou is from Barca and lets be honest with how things work there and their recent track record involving money, Laporta has every reason to inflate the numbers a bit, so we'll see.

I remember when Barcelona used to sponsor UNICEF and have it's name written on their shirt. Now they had to rename their stadium after Spotify. Edit: it is on the back side now.

Damn it hurts seen my fav club like that. I know is getting better but things are not good yet having to loan one of your most promising players in vitor roque is a hard one Also yeahhh David Villa mentioned he was one of my favorites too
@DucNguyen-eo9nsАй бұрын
Loaning players out is normal lol. In fact we should have done that way more instead of letting them rot in the bench. Do it like Real Madrid, get them out on loan or sold them with buy back clause, let them actually have playtime to develop. Besides Roque wasn't rated by two managers, clearly the problem is because of his level, it's not there yet. WIth how well Lewandowski has been playing and how Pau Victor performed in preseason, him going on loan is a win-win for both party. He got time to develop more by playing and we can either bring him back or sold him for profit if he did well. Better than let him be 4th choice at ST
