recorded live at Drury Lane 1974. This video used to be on You Tube but I found this on a Russian site . This is an excellent longer version than the original studio recording and features great solos from John on guitar, Les on bass and the late great Woolly Wolstenholme on the mellotron.

What an absolute blessing it has been to share and enjoy the music of This Band for all of my life. I am now 65 years old and have yet to meet one person in my circle who has ever listened to any of their music and I'm so thankful that I was led to them at an early age. The thought process through the music has just been a great experience in my life. This music truly is for everyone who is everybody else!

@@thewordofgord yeah I stumbled upon them while I was flipping through records at Sooto records back when we still did records.. just discovered another band that I put in a class with or greater than Pink Floyd and that is Porcupine Tree. If you haven't listened to them they've been around since 87'...'OMG

@@tritop I get back when I take the time and I do take the time from time to time as much as possible to sit back and listen and reminisce about the past and the future. Just discovered a new band that is equal to or greater than Pink Floyd and that is porcupine trees. They've been around since 87 and don't know how I miss them. Check em out.. OMG!

The double LP "Live 1974" was my first LP at all. And it's, in my view, by far the best Album by the band. Medicine Man, She said and Mockingbird are just outstanding and awesomes versions.

I agree. Their best work was done when Wooly Wolstenhome was in the band. The band was never the same after he left in 1979.

He gave the typical progressive sound of the 70s from that era. After he left the band, they changed their musical direction toward a more friendly 80s sounding. Still there were some good songs and ideas, but something was gone with Wooly's departure.

Brilliant group effort around John's finest song. Mel Pritchard deserves great praise for his performance, akin to John Densmore. Stunning.

No se puede decir de otra manera es música celestial cuanto más la escuchó más me hace soñar y así desde mis 20 años osea desde los 70 para mí son unos genios lastima que no triunfarán como se lo merecían pues eran grandiosos.

Awesome! Have loved this track since I first heard it on the double live black album. There are several live versions but this is my favourite. The instrumental section gives me goose bumps every time I hear it - which would be in the hundreds! Don't forget to mention Mel's drumming. He had such an individual style and his playing on this track is one of his best. RIP Woolly and Mel.

remember seeing BJH at Leicester University - a very early gig - when they came back for a clearly unexpected encore they had to play She Said again as they didn't have another number! This song was a b side on a single in 1973 which I played incessantly on the Percy Gee jukebox - still at Leicester University. Amazing stuff!
