Barclays' Krishna Is Cautious on China

A stimulus package from the Chinese government boosted sentiment worldwide and helped send Chinese stocks into a bull market. However, Venu Krishna head of US equity strategy at Barclays, is still cautious about China. He's on "Bloomberg Surveillance."

to be fair, have you ever heard anyone with any heritage except for Chinese say anything positive about China...my two cents is that China waited until the fed dropped interest rate to release the stimulus to attract capital, it's a smart move but let's see if investors have faith in China

I have been to India and China. India is way way overhyped . India have a long long way to go to reach Chinas level of technology. If India falls short there will be a financial bloodbath as the stocks are way overpriced. Chinese companies are cheap . Alibaba have 30% cash and PE of 11 ex cash. Amazon trades at PE of 40-50 and a market cap of 4 times higher. Chinese companies will not trade at overpriced as USA and western funds will still shun it. For the long term ….a lot of non USA funds will own it. As Warren B say ….in the short term , the stock mart is a beauty contest , in the long run it is a weighing contest. Chinese companies are getting better and better despite the USA funds shunning it.
