Bard AE kiting in Skyshrine? EverQuest P99 Green

Trying some AE kiting in the larger rooms of Skyshrine. At level 60 I did not think it was all that great, but this might be nicer at a lower level, so I may go back on my level 50 bard. So, have fun, explore, try new things out, and keep rocking!

My favorite part of getting stunned while swarm kiting is the echo effect on the pc’s grunt. Really feels like time is slowing down to watch in slow motion as i die.

I used to guide people through this place all the time. Bards + Outdoor Dungens = Power! Could you charm kite these?

I loved swarm kiting... was disappointed when i logged my bard in around 2019 to find out no new aoe dots. I would kite all the dwarves un BB from Gfay to the docks. Thibk there is 40ish and its very safe. I missed kiting all the werewolves, ghosts and gargoyles in Ponightmare... running around with half the zone behind you freaked people out. I would always make my circle close to the book as a escape plan. But the dwarves for pre pop were best you could auto lock a cricle and just click your songs while watching tv and then go pull everything again in 20mins.

Did they make this harder for bards to do or is it just nearly impossible at level 53? Most mobs are green/blue yet I get a ton of resists and after about 5 minutes of kiting I was only able to get a few mobs down to maybe 97%. The geos in WL I can kill in a reasonable time just as most other kite areas. I'm using just the vendor lute.

Im using the Default UI, I changed the hotkeys and life window from Eqinterface

I still strafe while sow'd just because I can auto lock it in. Honestly never tried without it lol

I haven't played bard and part of my hesitation has been the need to combat swap a bunch of instruments during a kite. Is this showing that you can do swarms without combat swapping during the turns?

You never really "need" to swap instruments, it just maximizes your damage to kill faster. At level 60, three of our songs are string based anyways, so I don't really care about swapping to a horn for one song. Also in this case I have the epic that boosts the brass song, but even without it I wouldn't really care.

Can a level 41 bard solo the Guardians that drop the robe?

I think it may be possible, although I have not tried with a character lower than 60. The only thing I might worry about is kill speed, but there is also no problem holding down a few spawn points. The Guardians seem to be in the level ranges of 31-45, so I don't think it's out of reach!

Biggest issue is they have really fast regen, so in that regard they’re major under cons. I’m not sure if you’d have enough DPS to AOE them down, but you might be able to single target kill with drum dots
