Update for folks interested in the MP3 - Just added it to the Shop page over on my Patreon. Here's the Shop link: www.patreon.com/MichaelKelly/shop Or for a link that takes you directly to the song so you don't have to search around for it: www.patreon.com/MichaelKelly/shop/rolling-down-to-old-maui-trad-418084?source=storefront - If you're interested in multiple songs and want to save money, I also have MP3's available bundled into 5-song EP's for about 30% off. Also, be sure to buy directly through the Patreon store page, rather than through iOS. Apple charges you up to 50% more for using the app, and NONE of that extra cost goes to support the artist.

I will not attend my funeral. I wager my corpse will be there but due to not existing anymore I will not.

Oh you’ll exist alright, you might not like where you are though.

Your imaginary friend can't hurt me when I'm alive and certainly not when I'm dead. The question is why you made your imaginary friend such a dick?@@caderiddle5996

Fantastic cover!

This standard is one where there's a few great versions and it's hard to do anymore. This rendition is not only technically excellent, but also finds it's niche in the cover-sphere. Well freaking done on being one of the greats!

Someone forgot to tell you that the only equipment besides your voice allowed for this shanty is rope, wood and sail. Nevertheless well done. :-)

Couldn't find it on the channel, so I'll suppose I am either blind or you didn't do it yet, but it'd be awesome if you had "Randy Dandy Oh", and on that note, I wonder if one could actually put "Oh Captain My Captain" on music in an interesting way... I might try it out when I get some time. Awesome stuff, dude! And we all know... the bard songs will remain :)

Where can i find the fngerpicking pattern ?
@brigittewiget95162 жыл бұрын
amazing! whats the 3 chord? you start with an Am then an E i guess and the third, i cant see it XD but i really wanna play it. and theres tons of different version for guitar on the internet. pls help :)
@BardMichaelKelly2 жыл бұрын
3rd chord is a C. What may have thrown you is that I use a lot of 'full' C chords in my playing, where the low E string isn't left open. 332010. Instead of using my ring finger for the A string, I shift it up to the low E, and use my pinky for the A. It does tie up your pinky so you can't really add ornamentation to the chord, but makes the chord sound fuller. Whole progression is verse: Am - E - C - G - F - G - Am x2 (walk up) C - G - Am - E Am - E - C - G - F - G - Am For the chorus, just start at the walk up to the C and play the second half of the verse. It's dead simple - though I could probably explain it better if I wasn't sleepy ;)

If it's an instrument you could bring on a plane or fit in a suitcase (no pianos or harps) than it is acceptable but no instruments preferably
