I’d love a mini-series about Raditz. For example, they could include Bardock and Gine as an introduction and then, develop Raditz’s story up to his arrival on Earth. Additionally, I’d really like it if Raditz were resurrected by Goku. They could secretly power him up, explaining that he and Goku trained for three days in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber (which is equivalent to 3 years outside). This could lead to him gaining power and a transformation close to SSJ Blue. In his case, I’d create a unique transformation, similar to what they did with Beast Gohan, but less powerful (even aesthetically different). To wrap it up, I’d use him as a parallel character with his own journey through space and planets. Anyway, I’d be happy with any series, even different from what I’ve written, as long as Raditz and/or Bardock are the main characters.

This also explains why we never hear about Vegeta's mother and he doesn't even know if he had a grandma. They are likely a solitary species, they go on their own, gather to mate, separate and abandon the child when they're grown, the last one is also the saiyan way to conquer planets so it fits. The only saiyan families we know of are royalty (Vegeta), an exception (Kakarot) and a father that got stuck with his kid in a distant planet (Broly).

My headcanon for the original Z-Bardock is that gine died at some point after giving birth to Goku, maybe even during his birth. Which lead to bardock becoming more hardened and cold, though still caring for his teammates.

Except no..this was a sloppy retcon..it's made Pretty clear Goku was just a standard example of a Saiyan who would have eradicated life on earth as intended had it not been for the bump on his head. Like humans, all Saiyans have the possibility of change/reform. They are born and raised under more ruthless and self serving behaviors but can grow into truely empathetic beings. Vegeta is one of the most staunch practitioners of the Saiyin base cultural mentalities when we first meet him. He holds NO sentiment for anyone. He did not care when Raditz was killed and even murdered Nappa without hesitation as a punishment. Two of the four known full blooded of his race left and it meant nothing. Their individual value to him was all that he was concerned for and when all three were not aligned to his goals, he was ready to become the ONLY one left. He is now arguably more ethically well rounded and mature than even Goku. He is the one who has to call out Goku for being a PoS husband and father. It's pretty clear from how kids that it wasn't just some genetic think passed down to Goku and then Gohan either. Veggy's father was literally king asshole and he was lined up to surpass. Not only did Vegeta turn around but his kids are just as well adjusted as Gohan. It's kind of sad to consider but with Napa and any other cannon Saiyans dead..Goku is the most self centered/immature now. The half lings are all more human in behavior than anything. Vegeta has almost entirely taken the good father/husband role and genuinely thinks about others before acting by this point. Even the currently cannon Brolly is a kind hearted pacifist by nature..Goku is kind of the most dickish one left now..sure he's nowhere near as bad as most base Saiyans and is still a hero but his motivation and behaviors are more apathetic than the others by the modern story.
