I love your videos so much! For fun my horse and I often bareback jump in the summer, I find it honestly easier because I can feel everything my horse is thinking or going to do because of the close contact. Bareback has also increased my balance by a lot!! Thanks for making me smile!!

Greetings from the Western North Carolina Mountains....USA !! Thanks for sharing that with us...!! Once upon a time....back when I was about 15 years old ( 1972 !! )....my friends and I decided to have a bareback "jump off" in a tiny little arena....on a snowy January day. I jumped my horse over a 4 foot 2 inch (not sure what that is in metric...) fence bareback that day....the highest we ever jumped together...!! What a memory....thanks for that !

Hope you have a pad for both your.... and your horse's comfort! Little things like: sitting your horse like feather when mounting v. plopping down like a rock; always using a mounting block v. Not, even if you are lightweight; and standing in your stirrups when your horse is urinating are all newer, wonderful, horse-centric improvements to our 🐴 partner's comfort. So glad for all the changes!

Honestly, being a person who grew up riding bareback, and seeing most of my friends never using a saddle, i thought it was kinda of normal? Nicely done! Do you find the squeaky-bum moment is during downward transition canter to trot? It’s years since I rode bareback (my horse had prominent high withers, incompatible with a male rider’s anatomy!) As a kid, I used to help a local stables move their horses to a distant pasture for their summer break… they had no wagon so we rode bareback to avoid having to carry the saddles back. I always ended up with the biggest, chunkiest part-Shire, and I had to sit sideways. Good job he was quiet and less traffic back then! Anyway, I think your vids are great, keep them coming :)

nice going! I had an appaloosa who was a dream to ride and jump bareback. He was gaited , had a low withers and his skin was mottled so it made his hair very textured and grippy. riding in demin or breeches that are tweed or some other than a slick nylon style helped too.
