Barefoot buffalo hunt

I’ve spent a lot of time in the African bush and done four buffalo hunts…. The last thing I’d want to do is take my shoes off and go bare foot, noise or not. Thorns, rocks etc etc and you limit your chances of effectively running out the way if you have too.

On my Buff hunt in SA we got within 50meters for our shot, the herd was at 50 but what we didn’t see was a young bull behind a bush at 10meters when we shot. Thankfully it ran towards the herd and not us. We tracked our wounded buff until dark, backed out. Went back in the following morning and 2 hrs later we were charged and finished it off at a mere 12yds. Most exhilarating hunt of my life🤙😎
