I've owned a pair of '02s for a few weeks. I'm just a regular music lover that loves to hear music the way it was intended to be heard. The '02s are very revealing and let's you hear the truth. They're unforgiving and expose the bad in a track. Fortunately, I've collected the majority of my music via Hi-res downloads and burned CDs. I use the JRiver Player thru a Motu M4 that sounds awesome. I rarely use the Meme Box. Because for me the Flat setting is right on point for my taste. These will be my monitors of choice for years to come. Again, I'm just a guy that loves music the way it was intended to be heard. So for others like me and serious musicians the 02s are a very solid choice!

@audio_Czar, thank you again for the video, i got the Footprint 02 last Saturday the 30th Of September. In my surprise Czar, after listening to some mixes, I realized i never anything that i was mixing. Now i heard things that never heard before wow. Now, 3 days i am worried about the Red Led light about the Peak Limiter. It makes me uncomfortable to push them hard. I’m not sure about returning them. Because i love them already. Can you tell on how you use it, to avoid the peak limiter to go Red? Thank you.

@@jamescave7102 You must really be pushing them. I feel like I can push them a lot harder than I do to get the red light, but I don't ever see it. I run through a monitor controller which I believe drops the output. Anyway, some, if you're connected directly to an interface, I would just bring down the volume on the back with the gain knob

Hi I have a UDO super six and was wondering if it’s okay to connect that synth with a 1/4 to xlr cable to my barefoot 02 speakers ? I just don’t want to damage the speakers if that’s not what they’re intended for

You can't go wrong with either. The barefoot have more versatility with the meme feature, and are 3 ways. But both sound great. PMC overall sound a little brighter

@@TheAudioCzar Thanks Czar. Currently using Neumann KH120's which are great but am curious as to what the next step up would be. I like that the Result6 are all analog without any additional DSP etc as I track with a lot of large VSTi's and don't want additional latency to be added!

Very good video, and congrats for the monitors its a great choice. In that price category i prefer Neumann kh310 and PSI A17M, i found them to have a more natural sound, but i think they are a lil more expensive in usa than the footprint , i dont know why but here in europe equipment is cheaper. Just got a secondary pair the sceptre s8 and i really enjoy them , i seen you had s6 which are excellent too

Still have the sceptres. They are great. Haven't heard the PSI before. I've only heard the smaller Neumann's

For a second pair you might consider Kali IN- 5 or Kali IN-8 3 ways (make sure the IN-8’s are the second wave - that’s important). At $798.00 for a pair of IN-8’s they are a steal… they’re better than they should be for the price. But your Barefoots already emulate other speakers, so you might not have the need.

Hello , You did not mention anything about the self noise ; sceptres have a hiss even when nothing is playing! Does the Barefoot FP02 system also suffer from said deficiency ?

I've only experienced the self noise on the sceptres when I've had them cranked or turned up way louder then I'd normally run them. I haven't heard any self noise on the barefoots, even when I've really pushed them

I’ve been using pmc 226 in my main studio and sceptre s8s at home and want another pair for the B room as someone who has tried the pmc’s how do the FP02 compare ? I’ve never used any 3 ways thus I was intrigued by your video

@@ZiwaHD Don't know how much of my channel you follow but my original plan was to get PMC's, either twotwo6's or Result 6's. I haven't used PMC's in a while but as far as clarity they are the best I've used. But its hard to beat a 3 way and not needing a sub. I don't think you can go wrong with either

Question. Are the woofers supposed to be facing outward (away from one another), or inward (facing each other). Are you sure they're oriented correctly? I was under the impression that the woofers should face inward.

Trying to decide between these and the result 6. Working primarily with urban genres. How would your rate the pmcs and the barefoots ??

I absolutely love the PMC's! The result 6's is what I as originally supposed to get but I wanted what some 3 ways sounds like. You can't go wrong either to me. PMC go pretty low but no doubt a sub will improve the performance of any 2 ways. But with the barefoot you don't need a sub. And meme technology may put it over the PMC's when you look at versatility

@@TheAudioCzar thank you!! I have jbl 305s w/ sub and arc 3 along with the VSX cans. Been getting the job done so far. Just want to get into a higher tier of referencing to minimize my turnaround time. Are you hearing more with the 3 ways than the pmcs ?

@@rollinweight more Low end with the 3-ways, but since you already have a sub the PMC will work fine. The PMC go pretty low to, But I always like adding a sub to two ways to take that pressure off of them of handling the low end

I just didn't feel I needed the bigger ones. I'm not blasting the speakers when I'm mixing, now when I'm mastering I do have them louder. But I just didn't see a reason for bigger speakers. I have a large room and these fill them nicely

Hey mate, so I’m looking to buy a pair of the footprint 02’s, but I’ve been told by a mate and by you on the video that the low end is over powering.. I am writing psytrance from 142 - 155bpm and there is short breaks inbeetween kick and bass notes.. do you think these will be to subby and low end for what I’m trying to do?? And if they are to low end I can simply just done it back to default or lower to fit the music I’m making hey???

I did a shootout between both because i was also debating between those 2. The mids felt subdued and hazy on the PMC, i had way more definition in the mids from the footprint 02, along with way more bass extension.

@@marc-andrebeaudet6040 Went with a set of PMCs, I had the opposite experience, the mids were the clearest I've ever heard and the low end is impressive, after room calibration,.. perfect.

I've never heard the Eve's. I did want to try them but they changed their US dealer to one company, which I think is atlas??? But for me then made it more difficult to get So I didn't worry about it. I do like that they have controls on the front though

I set up Trinov in a studio before and it was a pain in the ass to get put together and get it up and running. The instructions were poor. But once we got it up and running it's been fine. I think the studio had one issue out if it in the last 3 years
